The right size for the motor boat depends on many factors. One of the most appreciated size is 12 metres. These kind of boats is versatile, comfortable and spacious, but not too big and hard to handle. From the fisherman to the pure daycruiser up to some models that works as real cabin cruiser. What’s new in 2020: 12 meters motorboats
Bertram 39 CC
Bertram 39 CC will be a deep-V hull boat. The shipyard has focused on a boat that is wider and heavier than almost all the others to ensure maximum stability even with rough seas conditions. This Bertram has a larger width (13 feet and 2 inches), which is about 2 feet (60 cm) more than almost all competitors. This allows it, for example, to have 4 driving seats instead of three. The Bertram 39 has a fuel capacity of almost 1,900 liters, two live tanks of almost 160 liters each (or 240 liters each, available as optional).
The collaboration between Bertram and Mercury on the engines made it possible to focus on the performance. The hydrodynamic models indicate that the maximum speed of the 39 is over 50 knots already with the standard engine (3 300 hp engines). With three 400 hp engines the speed exceeds 55 knots, while with 450s engines the speed exceeds 60 knots.
The new boats will be equipped exclusively with Mercury engines, thanks to an exclusive technical and commercial collaboration. The plan is to design 9 models, in center console and dual console configuration between 28 feet and 50 feet over the next 4 years, and then add smaller models like the famous 20 foot Sportsman.

Boston whaler 380
A 12-metre boat with plenty of power aft (four outboards up to 1600 horsepower) with a real open spirit (second cockpit forward), although the interiors are also livable. The new Boston Whaler 380 Realm has a modular layout in the bow, with a sunpad that extends all the way around the bow cockpit. This makes it particularly very good during the sunny days at the sea. It can also be transformed into a dining area with a table. The bow is reached through a “door” on the windscreen that closes the superstructure around the wheelhouse, like a bowrider. Near the console there are three screens for the control of utilities, services, and navigation. To better board, on the boat, the end of the port side can be opened.
In this configuration the boat is suitable for same-day navigation for fun, but can also be used for fishing with a large cockpit aft and any live tanks. It is “convertible” however, i.e. also suitable for short cruises. The interiors are essential and functional, complete with separate toilet with shower, V-bunk and dining table that becomes a double bed where you can spend the night.

Frauscher 1212 Ghost
The new Frauscher 1212 Ghost which represents the link between two cult models of the yard: the Frauscher 1017 and the 1414 Demon, 10 and 14 meters respectively. Frauscher’s 12-metre boat is the 1212 Ghost, the latest innovation from the Austrian shipyard, perfectly in line with the shipyard’s philosophy. A sporty and elegant line, therefore, for a true sea sportswoman. This model fits between the 1017 GT and GT-AIR and the 1414 Demon and Demon-Air. The large teak deck, the frameless windscreen and the vertical bow make the Frauscher 1212 Ghost unmistakably Frauscher.
The large side air intakes, already featured on the 747 Mirage and then on the 1414 Demon, are the design feature. The line is immediately recognisable in this way. In line with the demands of today’s shipowners, the aft section is characterised by the generous teak beach platform with “open” masonry profiling.
The new Frauscher 1212 Ghost will make its official debut during the next Cannes Yachting Festival 2020, coming up in September.

De Antonio D42
The D42, thanks to its stern with a platform and large sundeck is well livable by more people in total comfort. It is equipped with a tender garage (WATCH THE VIDEO), with a crane to move it towards the water and dinette convertible in 3 different configurations, in addition to an external galley in the cockpit where you can also install an optional icemaker. Below deck, there is an area just below the wheelhouse where you can lie down and chat, like a sort of saloon, while at the bow there is a high and wide cabin. Halfway between the two is a bathroom with a shower.
Why outboards?
A single outboard cost less than inboards. In this case the outboards choice is a little bit more expensive, because of the number of engines: 3. But the outboards are easier to maintain, also for their position on the boat. In addition, on a boat of almost 13 meters, with a platform and a stern sundeck, you have a triple engine from 300 to 400 horsepower each, which makes the boat easy to manage. In this way, the boat can easily reach speeds of over 45 knots, with a cruising speed of about 26 knots.

Nimbus C11
The Nimbus C11 can exceed 40 knots of speed. It can also easily handle long distances at high speed. The shipyard’s estimated range is around 225 nautical miles with outboards and around 300 nautical miles with inboard engines. Born as twin of the T11, this motor boat is designed to face rough seas without any problem.
In addition to the spacious saloon and wheelhouse, below deck there is a fully equipped galley, two separate cabins with room for two couples or a family of four and a toilet with shower. The C11 is equipped for air conditioning, diesel generator (genset), stabilization gyro, steering joystick, luggage rack, professional suspension seats, solar panels and much more.
