Can the boat really be a viable alternative to a second home, where you can live your leisure time, without necessarily having to have a second beach house as well?

Yes the boat can in effect be a second home on the water. In fact a villa and not an apartment.

And we prove it to you with five examples we found at Milan Yachting Week – The digital boat show where you find dozens of boats of all sizes moored in the virtual harbor.

Parker 790 Cruiser – 8 meters

Category: Pilot house

There must be a reason why this boat of only 8 meters, the Parker 790 Cruiser (m. 8.40 x 2.87) we are telling you about is having great success in both Europe and the United States. Now it’s coming to Italy, too, and you can find it at Milan Yachting Week – The digital boat show. The reason, not the only reason, is that in just 8 meters the Parker 790 Cruise has spaces that allow her to be used as a beach house.

The spaces inside and outside the Parker 790 Cruiser are exploited with such ingenuity that it seems a couple of meters longer. It’s all there: a cockpit with a table for outdoor dining, a split swim platform, a cockpit with a sunroof, sundeck in the bow. And below deck a double cabin with bathroom and another berth available.

Fountaine Pajot MY 37 – 11 meters

Category: catamaran

The secret of the Fountaine Pajot MY 37 (m. 11 x 5.10) lies here: The catamaran takes advantage of the superior width that results from the fact that the hulls become two, at either end of the boat. In between is a structure suspended over the water that doubles the usable space on board. Simple and ingenious, besides the fact that these boats need less motorization than monohulls to achieve glide because they offer less water resistance.

The version of the Fountaine Pajot MY37 a three cabins has a layout and equipment that fits a boat size much larger: it has its own generous left master suite with private bathroom, two spacious guest cabins with large shared bathroom, laundry room and large storage capacity.

Beneteau Swift Trawler 41 – 13 meters

Category: Trawler

At Beneteau, visiting the brand new
Swift Trawler 41
(m. 13.43 x 4.25) you can see how the French shipyard has evolved the original trawler concept, creating a boat that has space and layout from a beach house that is a true small superyacht. On this boat one can sail in semi-displacement mode at 13/14 knots, but even higher speeds can be achieved while maintaining a very high cruising range. The beauty of the characteristic trawler line has remained intact, but on the Swift Trawler 41 in the Fly version, there is a beautiful fly and a large swim platform. Just like on a motoryacht. Inside there is space, lots of space — just like in a beach house.

Monte Carlo 52 – 16 meters

Category: Flybridge

The Beneteau Monte Carlo 52 (m. 16.33 x 4.62) represents the pinnacle of its production. Designed by renowned architects Nuvolari&Lenard it has contemporary lines, a sleek profile and generous volumes. The V-shaped hull was created in collaboration with the MICAD studio. The Monte Carlo 52 is larger and wider than the Monte Carlo 5, the previous model it replaces.

To see why this is a perfect boat for those who want a boat that looks like a mansion moving on the water, go straight aboard the Beneteau Monte Carlo 52.

Sunseeker Manhattan 52 – 17 meters

Category: Flybridge

The Sunseeker Manhattan 52 (m. 17.21 x 4.87) is a synthesis of the peculiarities of the British shipyard Sunseeker that mix tradition and innovation. And thanks to the large fly, like a rooftop terrace of a house with a sea view, it becomes more of a true, luxurious villa than a second home.

The Sunseeker Manhattan 52 is designed for relaxed and comfortable boating living. And by comfort we mean not only something practical, but also, indeed especially, something useful. So there is plenty of space on board so we always know where to stow what we have on board, natural light to feel at home. All this without forgetting the details and finishes proper to a high-end yacht. You just have to visit the Sunseeker Manhattan 52 now.
