From March 19-23, Florida will host the Palm Beach Boat Show, a destination for the American jet set and one of the most important boat shows in the United States. Let’s discover 5 boats that will make their overseas debut.
Palm Beach Boat Show 2025
From the “fast” European sports walkaround, the Max 44 R al, to the “stylish” long-range that looks like a house on the sea: theEndurance 72 from Cantiere del Pardo. So many debuts expected at this U.S. show: here are some of the models.
Max 44 R – 13 m
Max 44 R
One cannot help but start this review with a 44-foot walkaround, definitely the most popular model and size in the market.
Maxim Yachts presents its Max 44 R, walkaround of 13.4 m f.t. by a width of 3.7 m. Typical tourist configuration with large spaces, with sundeck fore and aft, large dining area under the hard top that connects with the windshield to close the command post. There is also no shortage of enviable, for the category, spaces below deck, very bright, with as many as two cabins.
But don’t let the looks fool you: this boat is not only made for family cruising, but also for racing-and racing hard. A double-step hull propelled by 3 outboard motors of 450 hp each, for a total of 1350 hp, that can reach 51 knots of top speed.
Of course, a great classic of American boats cannot be missed: the trawler. Grand Banks, a historic North American shipyard, presents the new 62-footer, a 20.6 m wide 5.8 trawler. The lines are those timeless classics, debonair here and there to keep them in step with the times, making one appreciate the difference between a successful vintage look and one that is simply old.
But the novelty lies above all below the waterline, with the hull the child of a technology the shipyard calls “V-Warp,” a mixture of design, production process and materials that make particular efficient. Grand Banks 62 can in fact boast a top speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 27, with a range at 10 knots of an impressive 2,000 miles, thanks to the 6,000-l tank.
Staying on the usual size, we encounter another typically American lobster boat design, this time produced by a Turkish shipyard: the Vicem 65 Classic.
A 21 m long by 5.5 m wide boat distinguished by very classic but never heavy exterior lines, while the interior finds room for a much fresher and more modern design, without sacrificing tradition.
The shipyard aims to offer enviable luxury and quality while keeping the customization option for the owner extremely flexible.
Scout 670 LXS – 20.35 m
Scout 670 LXS
Fishing, yes, but not too much. That is, not only. At PBIBS she should also be there, the 2025 queen among center-consoles. Since its launch, the Scout 670 LXS has been the world’s largest outboard boat, at 20.35 meters long. Designed with Harrison Eidsgaard Studio, it is equipped with five Mercury V12 engines of 600 HP each, reaching a total output of more than 3,000 horsepower. It is a center-console, a craft that was born for sport fishing, and a virtually endless amount of fishing rods fit on board. This, however, as we said above is only one aspect. This boat offers much more, including a top speed of about 50 knots and a range of 500 miles. The shipyard has been working on this for years and seems to have managed to pull out a truly absurd vehicle.
The Endurance 72, a flybridge of 22 m LOA and 5.6 beam, features the typical distinctive lines of the Pardo family, with an upturned bow and parallelogram hull windows that emphasize its momentum. The flybridge does not weigh down the superstructure, which remains streamlined. There is no shortage of folding terraces, large windows and sliding doors, which eliminate the boundaries between exterior and interior to give the effect of a large open space.
Endurance is not just a name, but the hallmark of this design, designed for long-range sailing. The hull is optimized for IPS thrusters and prepared for hybrid engines. With a torque of IPS 1350, cruising speed is reached around 12 knots, with a consumption of 80 l/h and a range of 900 nm.
