After looking at powerboats with an out-of-the-box bow(read here), today we are going to look at six boats with a distinctive stern.
6 boats with a stern outside the box
Pershing 140
The stern of the new Pershing 140? Simply resounding. A 140-foot boat capable of touching in 38 knots of speed, it transforms aft from a sporty trim to a superyacht look. The Pershing 140 is not only the first all-aluminum yacht built by Pershing. It is also the first to set up the dedicated owner’s area on the main deck and is also the first to have a beach area that can open fully on three sides. This makes the rear area of the boat as livable as possible.
Sunseeker Manhattan 68
The Sunseeker Manhattan 68 features a unique “Beach Club.” Designed to bring guests closer to the water with a hydraulic door that opens to reveal a rain shower, lights and speakers, and provides storage for fenders, water toys, diving and sports equipment. The area has an optional folding bench and Seabob lockers adjacent to the water, complete with built-in charging points. The swim platform is suitable for putting a Williams Sportjet 395 in the water. –

De Antonio D42
Have an “inboard” boat stern with sundeck and platform, but also have outboards. Madness? No, De Antonio. We took the De Antonio D42 as an example, but all of the Spanish shipyard’s boats have the same feature. The outboards are there, but they are not visible. Basically, you have all the advantages in terms of maintenance, installation, and ease of management (as well as performance). On a 13-meter boat, with a platform and a stern sundeck, you have triple engines from 300 horsepower up to 400 horsepower each. In this way the boat can easily reach speeds of over 45 knots, with a cruising speed of about 26 knots, without sacrificing comfort. An innovative idea that is bringing much satisfaction to the site. Cigarette Tirranna
Provocation? Exaggeration? Both? Little matter. The stern of the Cigarette Tirranna is in any case resounding. Why? For the six outboards of 400 horsepower and up, mounted on the stern of a 59-foot boat, nearly 18 meters. Then there is also a version developed by Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing: the Cigarette Tirranna AMG outboard version. Aft are six roaring Mercury Racing 450R V8 engines totaling 2700 horsepower. We had already told you about Tirranna when it had “only” 2,400 horsepower(READ HERE). If you would like to see the Cigarette Tirranna with 2700 horsepower instead, click here.

Parker Monaco 1100 Flybridge
A special boat, nominated among others as the best family boat in 2018. What is this 11-meter boat doing in a ranking between 40-meter yachts and American super speedboats? In addition to being a flybridge boat with outboards, a feature that is already original in itself, although via expansion, the Monaco 1100 Fly is also equipped with a sundeck cover over the outboards. This solution makes them easily accessible, but it greatly dampens noise and increases livable space in the cockpit. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE
Triton Bank
The popa of the Riva Tritone is the classic “Carlo Riva stern.” An example of elegance and style that is unrivaled in the world. This unique type of stern is developed as a seamless volume. Aesthetically beautiful, the stern of the Triton was on the evidence impractical. The Aquarama overcame this limitation permanently with the Special version, born on the hull of the Super, which can be recognized by its more elongated stern, crossed by a walkway that ends in a swim platform (a solution we see today that is increasingly larger and on all types of boats) to make access to the water easier.
