As spring arrives, so do the new boat shows. The Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024 is one of the great overseas boat shows, scheduled for March 21-24. From dayboats to large superyachts, there is room for everyone. Protagonists will definitely be the “big boys” with over sixty hulls over 100 feet.
Among them we have scouted out seven hulls for all tastes not to be missed.
7 boats not to be missed at Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024
Divided on two fronts, between Palm Harbor Marina and Safe Harbor Rybovich Marina, the Palm Beach Boat Show 2025 will welcome more than 600 different brands, totaling more than 800 hulls on display. Numbers that are expected to attract more than 55,000 spectators. But what’s really interesting, numbers aside, are the hulls on display, from Sanlorenzo’s 146-footer, the 44 Alloy Kamakasa, to the more “affordable” hulls, such as open, weekender and cruisers of all sorts and types. So let’s see, in the meantime, 9 of the boats not to be missed at PBIBS 2024.
FJORD 39 XL & XP (11.97 m)
The latest walkaround signed by Fjord and Patrick Benfield could not be missed at PBIBS 2024. The Fjord 39, in fact, is one of the hulls not to be missed at this edition of the U.S. boat show, on the strength of its XL and XP versions, inboard and outboard respectively, and its versatility of use, ideal as both a dayboat and a weekender. In terms of design, it maintains the shipyard’s family feeling, also bringing to mind its big brother, the Fjord 41 (we tell you about it
HERE
), with which it shares the open cockpit layout, walkaround setting, center console and hull layout.
In terms of volume, the new 39 from Fjord’s home welcomes with a large furnished cockpit, complete with lounge areas and convivial spaces, reciprocated at the bow by a large sundeck. Below deck, however, a double cabin extends the exits. Available in its XL (2x stern-drive up to 440hp) and XP (outboard, up to 2xV10 400hp) versions, it also boasts no small amount of performance: up to 50 knots of speed, peaks, in short, enviable.

BAHAMA 41 GT (12.5 m)*
Bahama Boat Works, the American fishing center console, will in turn be present at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show with its newest creature, the new Bahama 41 GT2, one of the most “hard-core” sport fishing hulls on the market. An evolution of the line and a new flagship, the 41 GT was born from the input and needs registered with the brand’s customers, resulting in a performance hull that is as “aggressive” as few, but more attentive to family and/or otherwise related comfort and relaxation needs.
The new 41-footer, therefore, retains hull lines and hull of its predecessor but offers a totally new cockpit layout. More comfort in the cockpit, then, but not only that. The console is also improved, now larger and complete with top-of-the-line instrumentation, including a pair of 22-inch Garmin screens. In turn, the hard-top is more extended and offers an integrated awning and rain guards. Coming, however, to motorization, the choice inevitably falls on outboards, whether these are a pair of 600 V12s or 4 400 V10s. Top speed? Over 65 knots!
Palm Beach International Boat Show : ALPHA 50 TECHNOHULL (14.95 m)
Muscular and powerful, Technohull’s new fireball, a 50-foot maxi-rib propelled by thousands of horsepower, could not be absent from Palm Beach. It is, of course, the Technohull Alpha 50, available both outboard and inboard and strong with enviable volumes, including an owner’s cabin below deck. Indeed, everything on board focuses on maximizing usability, from relaxation areas to convivial areas, here strong right from the stern of a large sundeck (tender garage), and from a large sunbathing area to crown the bow.
But more generally, deck solutions are varied and include a back-to-back sofa with a minibar (or fully equipped wet bar), or the option of supplementing the island sundeck with a sofa and table. Given the power ratings (with 5 x 450 hp outboards, total 2,250 hp; or 2/3 x 600 hp,1,200 to 1,800 total hp), there is also no shortage of protection, provided by both the hard-top and windshield, and a double row of ergonomic triple shock-absorbing wraparound seats, so you can fly over the water in total safety.
SIRENA 48 (16.04 m)
Also making its U.S. debut will be the new Sirena 48, the new cruiser from Sirena Yachts that is making a splash, with already 27 hulls sold, including 13 in North America alone. His secret? Space. With a distinctive “trawler” look, a child of Frers’ hands, the Sirena 48 indeed offers plenty of space considering its “just” 16 meters. On board there are, indeed, as many as three spacious double cabins, as well as a fourth dedicated to possible crew.
They match the large salon, which is very bright thanks to large windows, a large cockpit and an equally large forward lounging area. If you add the oversized and furnished flybridge, the secret reveals itself. In terms of performance, too, the Sirena 48 does not disappoint, with top speeds of 27 knots and three different engines to choose from: two 550-hp engines, two 670-hp engines, or a hybrid propulsion system capable of offering up to 30 additional miles of range on beats alone.
Palm Beach International Boat Show: AZIMUT LARGE 26 M (26.9 m)
Among the “big” exhibits at this year’s Palm Beach show, almost unmissable are the new Azimut “Grande” series. First up here, at 26.9 meters overall, is the new Azimut GRANDE 26M, a yacht that looks to the super world and revolutionizes cruising life. Designed to create an on-board experience that is increasingly integrated with the sea, the new 26M boasts, first and foremost, a series of lounge and convivial environments immersed in the surrounding environment, which are then also recovered externally by the vast relaxation areas that populate the three available levels: fly, forward area, and aft beach area.
Here, we also find the new Deck2Deck terrace, an elevating flush deck that can be used both as an extension of the transom and in the cockpit, completely transforming the convivial environments. On board, then, the design results in meticulous attention to every room, replicating here the idea of bringing all the glamour, comfort and standards of a large super yacht to a hull just under 27 meters long. With its 10 beds (+3 crew) and all it offers, it certainly ranks as a project not to be missed.
PURO 35P Ocean Alexander (34.6 m)
Debuting as the progenitor of Ocean Alexander’s new PURO series, PBIBS 2024 will see the all-new 113-foot 35P, the 34.6-meter superyacht designed by Giorgio Cassetta. Designed for long cruising and strong with sleek, modern lines, the newcomer offers sleeping accommodations and comforts suitable for up to 10 people, excluding crew, offering them all the volume, lounges and relaxation that such a design can accommodate and offer. Including a swimming pool.
Providing autonomy will be the more than 18,000 liters of embarkable fuel, intended both to power from a pair of MAN’s 2000-horsepower V12 propulsion units and the two 55kW generators, capable of keeping the 35P at anchor for long periods. Maximum speed, on the other hand, is around 24 knots.
Palm Beach International Boat Show : AZIMUT LARGE 36M (35.29 m)
Colossus of this list, the other BIG Azimut, the new 36M. With its 35.29 meters in length, 19,000 liters of fuel tank capacity, 24 knots of maximum speed, and 10 berths (+6 dedicated to crew), the new Azimut is a true superyacht for long cruising, a design conceived, as per the range philosophy, to maximize the on-board experience by fully immersing in the surroundings.
Her highlight in this regard is the introduction of the Infinity Skydeck, a semi-walkaround upper deck that runs from stern to bow, a solution that not only extends freedom of movement, but also projects her guests into the sea thanks to large retractable windows, thus bringing the entire environment into dialogue with the skylounge and the large aft outdoor terrace with the entire hull, up to the forward lounge, complete with every comfort, including a Jacuzzi. Overall, a giant for cruising, a hull that appeals to most, strong among many things in a completely innovative approach to life on board, where guests are immersed in the sea and the natural light that permeates every room.
