NIMBUS W11 – 11 m

It is one of the most anticipated boats of the year, both in size and hull type. The new
Nimbus W11
promises to be a potential game-changer in the weekend sports cabin boat segment for those who want to experience the sea through and through. On board there is everything you might need for a weekend on the water, such as a prominent lounge area aft with adjustable seating, multi-person sundecks, wet-bar, gyro stabilization, lockers for water toys and various onboard equipment. The W11 brings in folding sidewalls (which increase the surface area on board) as well as an optional hydraulic bathing platform that extends around the outboard motors. Below deck there is room for four people to sleep in two large bunks, plus a bathroom with toilet and shower. The boat is equipped with two Mercury V10 outboard engines 2 x 300 hp or 2 x 400 hp. The speed range is from 20 to over 40 knots.

Apreamare Gozzo 35 Speedster – 11 m

The gozzo is the typical summer boat, open to go fishing or swimming and back. Not only that. There are also cabin cruisers, but they all look a bit vintage. All or most of them. The 35 Cabin is an evolution of the established 35 by
Apreamare
and is for those who want to use the boat every day of the year. The lines of the hull have clear references to Sorrento tradition, but on the deck there is a modern deckhouse that protects the bridge and saloon. Gozzo, then, but for all seasons and also for cruising. Cataldo Aprea’s intuition found in Marco Casali and Umberto Tagliavini the architects of the transformation of the Gozzo 35 Open into a Cabin. In order not to make the profile of the superstructure too heavy, it was decided to include large perimeter windows. Another solution is the four-panel opening patio door, which combines indoors and outdoors and allows you to mitigate temperatures or protect yourself from bad weather. In addition to the bridge we find a galley, with sink and stove top, and an L-shaped dinette. Outside there is no shortage of space with a stern platform, a large sundeck in the bow with panoramic seating, and the L-shaped pull-out table for six in the cockpit. The high bulwarks allowed the deck to be raised for more volume below where there are two cabins and a bathroom. In terms of propulsion, one can choose between a pair of Volvo Penta D4-270 DPI or D4-320 DPI stern feet, or the traditional Volvo Penta D4-320 shaftline.

YOT Power Catamarans 36 – 10.92 m

YOT 36 (10.92 x 3.99 m) is the first – and smallest – example from the new shipyard
YOT Power Catamarans
, part of the Catana Group, which will be unveiled at the Cannes Boat Show 2023. This is the first born of a 36- to 50-foot outboard range that will be launched over the next few years, after which the shipyard will focus on a range of inboard-powered catamarans. YOT 36 is an 11-meter walkaround catamaran with an open deck aft, sundeck area, salon and galley, while below deck we find two cabins. Propulsion is provided by two outboards of 300 horsepower each. The concept and design of the YOT 36 was entrusted to the J&J Design studio, which worked to create a boat that is easy to maneuver even for beginners, but can satisfy and entertain even the most experienced owners. It lends itself excellently both to use as a daycruiser and to outings and cruises for a few days with family or friends. The shipyard’s style aims to focus on modern design, generous and functional spaces, and powerful yet stable and safe catamarans.

NUVA M11 OPEN – 11.2 m

The Spanish shipyard
Nuva Yachts
debuts a new 11-meter walkaround. It is called Nuva M11 Open and is 11.2 m long overall. The maximum beam is, basically, 2.99 meters, but by opening the side terraces in the aft area it goes up to 4.20 meters. Lowering the aft bulwarks significantly increases the livable area in this area and makes the rear sunbathing area even more enjoyable. Toward the bow we then find the cockpit, under the top, and at the far bow another sundeck.

NORTHMAN 1050 TRAWLER – 10.5 m

Northman
introduces a new motor yacht designed for long sailing, the Northman 1050 Trawler. The navigation category B testifies to its ability to cope with even quite challenging conditions. Thus, at the Cannes Yachting Festival, this powerboat by 10 meters (9.8 ft) designed for extended periods of living aboard with a large salon in the center of the boat, facing the outside with large windows. The maximum beam is 3.4 meters a draft of 0.85 meters. Engines range between 57 and 320 horsepower, and there are up to 5 beds (4+1) on board.

T38 POWER CAT – 11.40 m

A catamaran, about which nothing is yet known, is expected to make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. It is a project of the Tesoro Yacht shipyard from which, so far, little or nothing has transpired. The site for now has shown itself for the
construction of walkarouds
and the name of the new model, T38 Power Cat, suggests that it will be a 38-foot power catamaran. Catamaran “day boats” are now no longer an isolated trend, but are on the contrary becoming increasingly popular. The planned motorization should come from a pair of the new 400-horsepower Mercury V10 Verado.

VI Q4 – VI YACHTS – 11.25 m

Also among the novelties is this VIQ4 by
Vi Yachts
, motor boat with outdoor spaces fore and aft for 10 people and four berths below deck. While we wait to see it at the Cannes Boat Show and get a good understanding of what it looks like, we can say that it is 11.25 meters long and 4.55 meters wide, so a considerable beam, and from the available images it appears to have good volume below deck. Propelling it is a rather large engine: two Volvo Penta IPS 600s.
