In the Fano shipyards right now, skilled workers are finishing what will become a flagship of the Silent Yachts fleet. We are talking about the Silent 80, a 24-meter catamaran that aims to be a truly sustainable giant of the sea.

Silent Yachts 80

Silent Yachts, over time, has demonstrated how cruising can already be sustainable today. How? With state-of-the-art solar-powered catamarans style the SY 62.

And, as with the SY62, this new larger version will provide owners with a choice of 2-deck, 3-deck open or 3-deck enclosed layouts. In short, whether you want to use it for summer cruising or as a year-round home on the water, all you have to do is choose the configuration that best suits the way you sail.

By the way, how does this boat sail? It is obviously not a yacht for the hurried, but for those who want to enjoy the journey.

Performance-wise, it allows moving with almost zero emissions touching a top speed of 12 knots with comfortable cruising at 7-8 knots. On its side are batteries with a remarkable capacity of 522 kWh/696 kWh, with peak solar power of 22.4 kWp.

The cabins and the layout

In a cruising boat, potentially even a long one, it is essential to enjoy versatile and spacious interiors. All three versions mentioned earlier can have a spacious owner’s suite on deck or a fully open salon, with the owner’s cabin located on the lower deck. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated on board as befits a vessel of this size. There are not too many details about the interior yet, but the promise is of the highest quality craftsmanship.

The SY80 2-Deck, which will make its market debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 (Sept. 9-14, 2025), will be ready to hit the water in the coming weeks.
