What a beast! The new AB 80, 25 meters, hydro-jet, makes 60 knots. Very fast and elegant. The newcomer to AB Yachts, part of the Fipa Group, is the second in a series of several planned in 2020 by the shipyard.
AB 80
AB 80 is a 25.40 meter yacht designed and engineered by the engineers of the FIPA Group in collaboration with the Tuscan studio Acube Design. The yacht has been conceived for the owner who wishes to govern it independently, using it both as a luxury day-boat and as a fast cruiser for a long trip. This yacht has an Italian charm that befits all the seas of the world, from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean: in every place, it will make its mark.
AB Yachts’ AB 80 is the result of years and years of experience and technical know-how accumulated by the FIPA Group. The result is evident not only in her performance, with a top speed of almost 60 knots, but also in the optimization of interior and exterior spaces. The hull is a blade in the waves and guarantees full control, safety, and maneuverability even at high speeds.
AB 80: Speaking of speed
AB 80 is a really fast boat. The propulsion system consists of three MJP jets powered by three MAN 12-cylinder diesel engines with 2000 hp each. The driving experience is direct, almost instinctive, and the handcuffs look like an extension of the human body, so much so that the controls are responsive. The design and performance made some British technicians present at the sea trials exclaim “She’s a beast!”
Onboard the AB 80
But speed alone is not enough: this boat is also designed to guarantee the absence of vibrations, to be stable and safe in all sea conditions. On the deck, the saloon is embraced at 360° by natural light and allows to pleasantly join the aft cockpit as if it were a single cabin, thanks to the total opening of the saloon door. It is thus able to give moments of life on board that run harmoniously between interior and exterior spaces.
The yacht can accommodate eight people and two crew members in a total of four cabins.
The interiors are completely custom made. The Style Centre of the shipyard has worked closely with the owner to realize all his requests and needs.
