accessories
The Cannes Boat Show is mostly boats, but we went hunting among the booths and scouted out five accessories we liked.

THE COUCH THAT FITS IN A MICROBAG
We start with Airsofa, which aroused curiosity in Cannes. It is a real inflatable floating sofa that fits in a very small bag, weighs one kilogram, and inflates quickly without the aid of pumps and inflators. Simply open it and shake it to create the airflow to fill it, then seal it with the watertight strap closure. In the video the operation. It costs 39.95 euros, we were told in Cannes. www.airsofa.it

WALLET? NO, STEREO
Some people have judged it a bit “tamaracky,” but it is actually clever. It is not a food carrier with a built-in stereo: but a stereo that integrates the food carrier (sixteen wine bottles fit inside). The sound quality is excellent, 360ยฐ, connects via Bluetooth with your smartphone and gives you the ability to listen to all the music you want, even at high volumes (up to 122 decibels). It is fully waterproof, and the lithium-cobalt battery provides 50 hours of operation on one charge. Via usb, you can also use it as a charger for smartphones and tablets. www.kubesound.com

THE SUCTION CUP FOR THOSE WHO HULL IN THE WATER
Are you tired of not being able to find the right position when you decide to clean the hull and dead work of your boat in the water? The solution is called SuperGrabber and it is the egg of Columbus. A rubber suction cup with handle with which to attach and finally have a stable foothold. One piece costs 19 euros. www.fender-design.com

THE ULTRALIGHT DESALINATOR
Weighing only 24 kilograms, the Osmosea New S25 watermaker is designed for sail and motor boats without an electric generator. Thanks to the Osmosea energy recovery system, these desalinators provide 80% energy savings as well as quiet and vibration-free operation. The Osmosea New 12 S series provides extreme ease of use due to its simple composition. They are equipped with FDA-certified membranes and filters, AISI 316 stainless steel structure, carbon fiber vessel. They are also available in a modular version upon request. www.osmosea.it

CERTEC INFLATABLE FENDERS
Although they have been around for a while, 2019 is definitely the year of inflatable fenders. We especially liked those produced by the French company Certec because of their durability. https://certec-nautisme.fr

Here’s how they work:
