At least according to UCINA (the Italian boating industry confederation), ADI (Association for Industrial Design) and the prestigious international magazine IBI (International Boating Industry), which honored them at the Genoa Boat Show. A nice appetizer in anticipation of another celebrated award, the DAME at METS in Amsterdam (the B2B accessories fair, Nov. 19-21).
Nanoprom – POLYSIL
Polysil is the nanotechnology product developed by Nanoprom and is a coating (less than 4 microns thick) designed to give gelcoat parts, fiberglass, metal and other substrates durable protection against UV and corrosive agents, as well as a hydro and oil phobic effect. Derived from the advanced-technology industrial sector, it does not replace a repainting but stands as a third way alongside the two solutions that currently exist for restoring dead work: painting and polishing. HP Watermakers – HP GENIUS
The HP Genius water filter has a special microfiltration system that removes any trace of chlorine and intercepts a large amount of pollutants that can contaminate water along its journey (metals, pesticides, hydrocarbons). In addition, the bacteriostatic treatment system with silver ions sterilizes the water at the point of delivery, preventing bacteria from accumulating in the boat’s tank. Fitt Diamond features a solid metal-free spiral that combined with special elastomers makes the tube extremely light, strong and easy to install. AS Labruna – BLUE HYBRID SYSTEM
Very interesting is this hybrid “kit” for marine engines devised by Bari-based AS Labruna: it fits existing diesel engines by allowing added hybrid functionality. Less fuel consumption, less pollution and less noise. While traveling with the endothermic motor, the electric motor is charged, cutting down charging time at the dock. The solution is available in powers from 10 to 30 kW with peaks of twice the power for more than a minute. Veleria San Giorgio – ADVENTURE BACKPACK EVO 100
This is a special self-inflating (manually activated, 100 N) jacket that incorporates a backpack, which is aerodynamic and semi-rigid, initially designed for motorcycle use and can obviously be made watertight. No more trolling, no more getting your hands dirty with the Clik Evo retractable buoy, now with added control functionality, which allows the buoy to position itself on the bottom and emerge on call. Once you leave the moorings, the buoy will sink with its mooring line. When docking, on the other hand, you only need to submerge a special sailor craft in the water that has a wifi device built into the head that communicates to the buoy to rise and retrieve it with the magnetic hook of the sailor craft. Waveless electric and ultra-compact stabilizers, from the Pisan company CMC, are designed for boats 12 meters and longer and boast the same technology that has made CMC Marine stabilizers successful in the marine industry. The range, which has four models of STAB stabilizers and four models of TRIM intruders, is designed to solve the problem of rolling and pitching of yachts caused by waves and weights on board.
