The year 2024 will see the launch of one of the most fascinating megayachts, an absolutely state-of-the-art 72-meter yacht that is unique, as is the collaboration of which it is the result: it is the Admiral 72, the first yacht designed entirely by Giorgio Armani, in collaboration with The Italian Sea Group.
Admiral 72, by Giorgio Armani
Unmistakable, supremely elegant, the new Admiral 72 is charged with timeless minimalism, cast in its sleek, clean lines, where Giorgio Armani’s signature is clearly recognizable. In fact, it is the result of a collaboration between excellences, the result of an exciting partnership that once again represents the unique capabilities of Made in Italy, both in cooperation and in achieving goals.
Admiral 72 – Exterior and Interior
The design of the exterior immediately evokes an obvious architectural imprint, appearing imposing, rigorous, yet maintaining a remarkable balance that almost lightens the overall volumes. Refined and minimal, all the details, such as the interiors, recover the creative philosophy of the artist, who seeks here to redefine the very essence of the megayacht concept in a radical and elegant way, based on principles of essentiality and sophistication.
The furnishings, of course, like all the interiors, are by Armani/Casa, and seek an understated, refined luxury. Thus, spaces are created with bold decorum, where overall harmony emerges from the combination of elements, and not from the individual detail, or the single piece. Large glass openings, on the other hand, design the hull, providing dynamism, while the interior benefits from substantial amounts of light, manageable through sliding panel systems.
The Collaboration
“Giorgio Armani is synonymous with timeless elegance and sophistication, and his stylistic vision has helped to further enhance our aesthetic sensibility. This new yacht is projected to be a stylistic reference in its positioning also in function of the countless comments and considerations that have come from the various industry players. Therefore, our business model oriented to the customization of every detail is confirmed to make each of our works absolutely unique in feeling with the vision and desire of each owner.”
Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group.
“The sea and design are two great passions of mine. With this new collaboration I have extended to the nautical world my idea of furniture, in which, as in fashion, aesthetics and function go in accord uniting in a natural and elegant style. This is a very stimulating project that has allowed me to create customized environments with Armani/Casa, like tailored suits, with the same craftsmanship in the choice of materials and workmanship.”
Giorgio Armani, chairman and sole director of the Armani Group.
