The historic Italian brand Aicon Yachts is officially reborn. CEO Marc-Udo Broich took over the brand with his financial partner John Venners in 2018. Fresh capitals and a dedicated team are the key ingredients of the new management.
Aicon Yachts 66
With an eye on the American market, the rebirth of the brand passes through the Aicon 66, a new semi-custom 20-meter yacht inspired by the Aicon 64 Fly, one of the most iconic models of the shipyard. Performance and seaworthiness are inspired by American fishermen, as suggested by the flared bow sections. In line with current trends, the new creation has a hardtop on the flybridge. Among the protagonists of Aicon’s rebirth, there is naval engineer Sergio Cutolo, former technical director at Baglietto, specialized in luxury boats, explorers and megayachts.
Aicon reborn from America
The first new model, now close to construction, is the new Aicon 66, a twenty meters semi-custom yacht destined to become the benchmark of a market increasingly demanding and attentive to detail. The debut of the new line of boats starts in fact from the United States, a market that has always been synonymous with great success for Aicon Yachts: many of the almost 500 boats sold by the shipyard, all still sailing, have in fact been exported to the USA.
