Alpha 50 (15 m) Technohull, the “monstrous” inflatable boat over 80 knots

Double sundeck, double sofa, and up to five 500-horsepower outboards aft. There is a new muscle-rib on the market and it has numbers to play with. It is the new Technohull Alpha 50, a long center console 14.95 meters and able to fly at speeds in excess of 80 knots. In short, with its new maxi-dinghy Technohull officially introduces its new design philosophy, condensing in the Alpha 50 a new and modern perspective, a blend of comfort, luxury and high-end performance.

Technohull Alpha 50

Designed by going beyond the limits of what the shipyard has offered to date, the new Alpha 50 is not a rib dedicated to comfort alone, but even more looks and leans toward performance. First important element, in this regard, is the new Dynastream hull patented by Technohull, a deep V with ventilated steps capable of ensuring maximum maneuverability and marine seakeeping. Propelling the complex, however, are several propulsion options, complete with a range from 2 to 5 outboards at their peak (up to 5x 500hp). However, an inboard package is also available, consisting of 2 diesels instead.

Technohull Alpha 50 – Exterior

Starting with the look, and thus the exterior design, the brand’s focus on deck livability and comfort immediately jumps out at the eye. Although in fact performance and styling immediately hint at the sportiness of this dinghy, as soon as you look beyond the sleek lines and streamlined hard-top, it is the relaxation and lounge areas that take center stage. In fact, in the stern, just beyond the outboards and swim platform, one is immediately welcomed aboard by a sunbathing platform capable of comfortably accommodating 2 or 3 people and integrated with a sofa with a shared backrest. In front of these, under the aft overhang of the top, a second sofa heals aft, creating here a convivial complex with two sofas facing each other.

Just beyond, again under the hard top, 6 wraparound racing seats are distributed in two rows of three, offering protection and safety even at the highest speeds of which the hull is capable. Here, protected by the glass windshield, the console engages the entire console beam, complete with all instrumentation and a proprietary digital management system.

The sleek, aerodynamic look of the entire console and hard top block, however, should not mislead on the volume front, because below this, accessible from starboard, is also the cabin and toilet room. Just forward, in fact, a sofa rises on a small deckhouse, a solution that marries external comfort with the need to elevate interior vertical volumes. Finally, in the bow, a large sundeck crowns the spaces, providing a relaxation area that can be used by several people at once.

Technohull Alpha 50 – Interior

Despite the ample outdoor spaces, the new Technohull, as we mentioned, also lends itself to weekender use by offering, in a space created under the console and towards the bow, a room intended for use as a cabin, and a toilet. Below deck we then find a forward area furnished with a double bed and a small sofa, complete, necessarily, with a separate toilet room.

Technohull Alpha 50 – Performance and Propulsion

Powered by the new Dynastream hull, a deep V with vented steps, the Technohull Alpha 50 looks from the start like a hull loaded with potential. However, the expressions this can take, of course, vary according to the type of propulsion adopted. On the one hand, one option provides a pair of diesel inboards; on the other hand, all the power is instead transferred to the extreme stern, on a range of outboard engines from torque, up to a maximum package consisting of five engines of 500 horsepower each. It is in the latter case that the new Alpha 50 expresses its maximum potential, with top speeds exceeding 80 knots. Powering it all is an 1,800-liter fuel tank.
