A newcomer to the open market, Alium 42S is a boat with a typical Mediterranean style, sleek lines and wide, open, comfortable spaces. Launched at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022 by the newly formed Alium Yachts, the 42S is a boat that aims to focus on three basic construction principles: high quality, customization, and low impact from a fuel consumption point of view. Building it and developing it, from a naval architecture point of view, is the French shipyard Meta Yachts.

Alium 42S: aluminum, knock-down broadside and reduced impacts.

Constructed of aluminum, a highly recyclable material, the 42S is first and foremost intended to be a more sustainable hull, while at the same time allowing ample customization by the owner, production being freed from molds and or obligatory structures. Starting with a 12-meter-long and 4-meter-wide platform, Alium is in fact able to accommodate abundant customization in terms of layout and finish. All while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Alium 42 S – Exterior

Sharp, sleek lines characterize the hull of the Alium 42S, with a particularly vertical foredeck and curved lines that project the hull forward. Edges and curves thus find an overall harmony that pleases the eye and leaves room for performance and furnishings. First and foremost, we find a spacious cockpit aft, featuring comfortable furnishings and fold-down broadside, a solution that is increasingly in vogue and ideal for expanding deck space.

Instead, a platform overlooks the water, facilitating access and descent. In the center of the cockpit we find a relaxation area consisting of two sofas facing a central folding table, a solution characterized by the possibility of moving the table and sofas, making a large sundeck.

Moving toward the bow are two pieces of furniture that introduce the bridge, where we find additional seating and the wheelhouse area. From here, it is possible to continue to the forward area, equipped with a double sundeck, or go below deck, where the layout varies according to the owners’ choices. Of course, the whole boat can be accessorized at one’s discretion, adding T-tops, refrigerators, and whatever else is typically available in the segment. Below deck, as mentioned, one can define one’s own layout, and as a result the layout and quantity of cabins, bunks, and facilities vary.
