Are you planning your boating vacation in Croatia, a boating paradise that has as many as 1,244 islands? We have already told you HERE how to pay, online, the tourist tax.
Now all you have to do is look at the anticovid regulations in order to enter the country. Indeed, the Croatian Tourist Board has released the entry parameters (valid until at least July 15).
Here is how it works and what you need.
CROATIA’S ANTICOVID REGULATIONS, NINE “WAYS” TO ENTER THE COUNTRY
Persons coming directly from all countries and/or regions of the European Union (such as Italy), countries and/or regions of the Schengen area and countries associated with the Schengen area may enter Croatia under one of the following conditions.
1.submitting the EU Digital COVID certificate. The so-called “green pass” attesting to full-cycle vaccination. Covid-19 green certifications are available to citizens through the following digital tools: dedicated website, either through access with digital identity or multi-factor authentication; Electronic Health Record; Immuni App; IO App; TS System, through authorized health care providers.
2. By submitting a negative PCR certificate performed within the last 72 hours or rapid antigenic test for SARS-CoV-2 listed in the joint list of rapid antigenic tests recognized by European Union member states, published by the European Commission, performed within the last 48 hours (list HERE). In the case of rapid antigenic testing, the name of the manufacturer and/or trade name of the test must be visible on the certificate with a negative result.
3. Presenting the certificate of vaccination not older than 210 days demonstrating that they have received two doses of the vaccine (vaccines used in the EU: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Gamaleya or Synopharm), or by submitting the vaccination certificate showing that they have received the Janssen/Johnson&Johnson vaccine if 14 days have elapsed since the administration of the one dose and no more than 210 days.
4. If you have already had COVID-19 and were vaccinated within 6 months of the date of positivity you can enter Croatia even with only the first dose up to 210 days from the date of vaccination without the PCR/antigen test by presenting the vaccination certificate and medical certificate of having contracted COVID-19.
5. Persons who have recovered from COVID-19 within the past six months are exempted from the requirement to provide a negative PCR/antigen test result. To prove their recovery, they must have a positive PCR test result or antigen test result, obtained within the past six months and older than 11 days, or a certificate of recovery issued by a physician.
6. Persons vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna and Gamaleya serums may enter Croatia during the period between the 22nd and 42nd day after the first dose of vaccine administration, or between the 22nd and 84th day after the inoculation of the first dose of AstraZeneca serum.
7. Practicing self-isolation upon entry into Croatia with the option of PCR testing or rapid antigenic testing on SARS-CoV-2. If testing is impossible, a self-isolation measure is determined for a period of ten (10) days (At own expense).
8. Children under the age of 12 years who are traveling with a parent /guardian are exempt from submitting a negative test result and self-isolation if the parents/guardians have a negative PCR or rapid antigen test, or a certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID.
9. In addition, EU citizens in these categories can enter without the test: transport workers, sailors, transport providers, diplomats, staff of international organizations, people traveling for urgent reasons, transit travelers (must not stop in Croatia for more than 12 hours), people traveling for health reasons.
It is advisable to follow the further development of the situation in case of possible changes in the current measures.
