Inflatable boat lovers, in this hot summer, here is a very fresh news for you. It is called Antudo 23 and is a 23-foot rib from the new Italian brand of the same name,
Antudo Marine
. While lately we have seen almost only “maxi-ribs” or XL vessels debuting, this new Antudo is a 7-meter(LOA 6.97 m) rather interesting in its range. Looking forward to seeing it at launch, at the
Cannes Yachting Festival 2023
, let’s see some preview information.

Antudo 23

This inflatable boat is the result of the brand’s collaboration with Alessandro Chessa’s Akesdesign studio and is designed, starting with a length under 7 meters, for the French market. In France, the boating tradition associated with RIBs is very strong, and penetrating this type of segment does not present itself as an easy undertaking.

Deck

A rubberized bow (for weight balance) was chosen for the deck, with a flush-fitted footboard-muson. The layout, which can take advantage of as much as 2.74 meters of maximum beam, is thought of as follows: large sundeck in the bow, center console with restraining helm seat and opposing seating that thus gives rise to the aft cockpit. On board we find two lockers and 4 other counter-molded storage lockers. The dashboard has recessed instrumentation to avoid reflections, recessed refrigerator, U-shaped dinette for five people. At the stern, around the outboard, we find structural and walkable side decks.

Antudo 23 – Fairing

At the hull level, the choice went to a fast hull capable of supporting a powerful engine to deliver strong performance even in rough seas. The planned engine is outboard with a recommended 140 horsepower, while the maximum available is up to 250 horsepower.

The boat has
double-step hull
, with an average deadrise of 29°. We have not yet had a chance to test it, but the distinguishing features of the living work are to be found in larger stellation angles, different fineness coefficient, and different convexity sections than the average rib. At the same time, with greater hull depth and height in the forward sections, this dinghy aims for more progressive wave absorption.
