The Italian goiter, the classic motor boat par excellence, is experiencing a special moment, a newfound youth, as evidenced by the many construction sites engaged in its development, and how well it combines the launch of the Gozzo 45 Apreamare. A boat that follows the Gozzo 35, the first project in the new course that Apreamare has begun.
Apreamare Gozzo 45
The walkaround market around 15 meters is one of the most vibrant, and yards are doing their best to come up with solutions that hit the mark. Apreamare also wants to have its say with the launch of this 45-foot gozzo, officially debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022, and later at the 62nd Genoa International Boat Show. Designer Marco Casali of Too Design, Cataldo Aprea and Apreamare’s technical department worked synergistically to develop this model. The focus of this project? Livability, both on deck and below deck, that makes this 14.70-meter gozzo unique. It is certainly not easy to combine space requirements with the line of a classic boat. Let’s see what this looks like.
Apreamare Gozzo 45 – Blanket
Apreamare promises “impossible” spaces on this 45-footer (particularly below deck), all while fully respecting the traditional lines of the Sorrentine gozzo. The setting is that of a Classic Mediterranean cruiser, as well evoked by its soft, clean lines . At the layout level, one of the first highlights is the total absence of steps on deck. This is because, as was the case with the Gozzo 35, this is also Thought of as a pure walkaround. Among the key points are the stern platform, a double sundeck stern and a table to accommodate up to 8 people in the cockpit. In the bow, however, we find an additional convivial area, structured with several seats and a second double sundeck above the deckhouse, complete with double seating at her feet.
Apreamare Gozzo 45 – Below Deck
Below deck the new Gozzo 45 points to two cabins with dinette and two bathrooms. However, this option can be varied as needed, increasing the number of cabins to 3, but sacrificing the dinette area in favor of this addition. In both versions, the design provides important continuity between exteriors and interiors, both in terms of the airiness and brightness of the interiors and in terms of style and attention to detail.
Apreamare Gozzo 45 – Navigation
Apreamare also relied on the expertise of Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design for this project. The focus? Performance and seaworthiness, including stability (at anchor and underway). We are talking about a variable geometry hull with a deep V suitable for both the classic shaftline and the propulsion system with IPS from Volvo Penta. The top speed with the most powerful engine is 33 knots (at medium load). Range is also considerable, with 350 miles available at cruising speed with IPS, thanks to a 1,600-liter fuel tank.
