It is ready to debut for the Boot Düsseldorf 2025 (Jan. 18-26)the new Aquadorflagship. It is called the Aquador 400HT, a 12.10-meter with an enclosed superstructure, three cabins and 8 total berths. Following the success of the previous 250HT e 300HT, the Scandinavian manufacturer is indeed offering a new compact cruiser, this time larger, more spacious and even more versatile. And it will be available with both outboard and inboard engines. Here’s a preview of it.
Aquador 400HT | Preview
With the new Aquador 400HT, the Scandinavian shipyard is playing at home, staying true to the lines that now represent it well and offering a model in line with the most appreciated details and on-board solutions of its predecessors. Large windows surrounding the pilot-house, sunroof, deckhouse sundeck and open cockpit lounge remain indeed the trademark of the new model, now however more spacious, more versatile and more powerful.
Aquador 400HT – Exterior
Starting with the exteriors, one element that immediately stands out is the large beach area complete with L-shaped sofa and adjustable coffee table. A space on the sea, usable from summer bathing to evening aperitifs“pieds dans l’eau.”
Moving under the hard top we find the dinette set amidships but open aft. Here, a large C-shaped sofa provides the centerpiece of convivial life aboard, overlooking both the cockpit and a countertop presumably intended to be the galley. Just beyond, the wheelhouse offers seating for two instead, with additional settees facing to its left.
To reach, on the other hand, the forward lounge, as with its previous models, the Aquador 400HT has two separate walkways outside the pilothouse, thus offering continuous movement towards the bow. Here, precisely, the lounge comes to life, with a large sundeck in the deckhouse to offer protected relaxation spaces that can be used both at anchor and while sailing.
The cabins of the new Aquador
Shifting the focus below deck, Aquador boasts three double cabins with single (full) bathrooms shared. Amidships, then, two side-by-side double cabins accommodate up to two people respectively, while forward, in a configuration that, as of now, would appear to be open space, a V-shaped double berth offers an additional two berths, bringing the total to 6. The additional two berths indicated by the shipyard, then, can be obtained in the dinette, where the sofa with center table can convert into a double berth.
Motorization and performance
Inboard or outboard motorization? In the former case pushing the flagship is a pair of Volvo Penta D4 Stern Drives, for top speeds of 36 knots. Installing outboards, on the other hand, the maximum speed is 35 knots, with a pair of Mercury V8s of 300 horsepower each. Regardless of the configuration chosen, the fuel tank will have a capacity of 600 liters.
