Designed by Fulvio De Simoni like the entire range of the boatyard, the Austin Parker 48’ Sundeck preserves the family feeling of the brand while introducing new layout and arrangements. Starting from the sundeck, the exclusive upper deck offering a wide sun pad and accessible from an electrically-operated staircase located in the cockpit. As a natural extension of the sundeck, the saloon is the convivial heart of interiors: the galley, two bathrooms and three cabins, with the master one located in the middle of the vessel, are all on the lower deck. The hull is in layered fibreglass (E-glass fibre) with the first three carefully laid up by hand, followed by the remaining layers using the resin infusion process. The hull is in laminated “single skin” while the deadwork is cored with balsa. With a range of 350 miles, the boat can run at a cruising speed of 24 knots and touch a top speed of 28 knots.
