Once again, Made in Italy is confirmed as world excellence in boating. This is confirmed by the Azimut Benetti Group ranking, for the 23rd consecutive year, as the world’s leading mega yacht manufacturer. An undoubtedly important achievement, consecrated by winning first place in Boat International’s “Global Order Book” 2023 ranking.
With a 30 percent increase over the previous year, Azimut Benetti Group reached a record number of no less than 168 projects, totaling 5,991 meters in length. This is an achievement that not only establishes it as number one among builders of yachts over 24 meters, but also reveals extremely important work being done within the entire body.
Among the lynchpins of the group’s success, it is worth noting, is a particularly well-developed and investment-rich product strategy, as underscored by one of the company’s pillars, technological innovation, for which a 130 million R&D investment plan is planned for the next three years. Efforts not only planned, but already present, as evidenced not only by the award, but also by the concrete results, especially in terms of sustainability, with significant reductions in consumption (and emissions). This was achieved through a combination of three key factors: weight reduction through the extensive use of carbon; the development of increasingly efficient fairings designed specifically for the main conditions of use of different models; and the use of innovative powertrains including hybrid and electric propulsion.
