Versatile on deck, as underneath, the Bavaria SR33, which debuted in 2023, immediately proved to be a compact cruiser ideal for family cruising. At 11.4 meters long, capable of 30+ knots and accommodating up to 6 people to sleep, her focal point is the livability of the deck, strong in a modular layout that transcends her apparent role as a simple cruiser.
Now, however, on the strength of the success of its SR36 Open, Bavaria is introducing a new version of its SR33 as well (review here), the SR33 OPEN TOP, to better combine cruising comfort with the appeal of more en-plain air cruising.

The Bavaria SR33, then, gets a makeover, now also available with an open top that changes its attitude, offering a livability of the deck that is always protected, but perhaps a bit more “Mediterranean,” ideal for summer outings and enjoying the outdoors to the fullest.
The new open top, in fact, mainly affects the cockpit and bridge, offering a new design that, while still protecting from splashes, sun and weather, provides more exposure, offering a new lowered windshield and an open top on the sides and with a sliding portion of the roof, to expand the effect even more.

Volumes

In terms of volume and deck layout, the Open Top version will not lose those qualities that made the launch model so popular, thus continuing to offer both the forward sundeck and the large aft lounge, complete with modular sundeck (convertible into a sofa with table), central lounging area, and wet-bar with cooking plate, refrigerator, and sink.

Then the interior layout also remains unchanged, with the four berths divided between saloon and cabin.
Thus, one of the strengths of the interior layout, the possibility of using the salon and the large forward bed as a sort of loft, also remains present.
Four berths that, in reality, are then six, because the layout of the SR33, let us remember, also offers an additional double berth by lowering the table, thus offering really a lot of room below deck, despite appearances and compact dimensions.
