The relaunch of the German giant Bavaria? It starts with the decision to bring the entire production “back home,” at its site in Giebelstadt. Both sail and power boat models. These include the R55, Bavaria’s flagship, whose molds are being transported from Croatia (where production was taking place) to Germany: from 2019 it too will be entirely “Made in Germany.”

The Bavaria R55, unveiled at the last Dusseldorf boat show, is the largest of the powerboats to date made by the German shipyard. Refined details and streamlined design are the hallmarks of J&J Design and project manager Robert Chaffer (former Princess designer)

With an overall length of 17.69 m and a width of 4.66 m, the R55 is designed with a Volvo Penta IPS engine with two motors from 600 to 725 hp. The interior, with decidedly upscale finishes includes three cabins plus one dedicated to the crew.
