Monte di Procida now a new marina with more than 220 berths. Thanks to the docks of
Ingemar
the project to modernize and secure the port facilities of the last continental offshoot opposite the beautiful island of Procida in the Campanian Archipelago has come to life.
Where the new berths are located in Monte di Procida
Ingemar was awarded just four months ago the public tender to improve the usability of the Port of Aquamorta in Monte di Procida, a destination also popular with tourists and known as the Terrace of the Phlegrean Fields. The historic reservoir, which is home to some specimens of phlegraean-napolitan goiter – traditional boat included in 2020 by theUnesco in the “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Campania,” is a very important landfall in the Campania Archipelago area.

With the reclamation of the seabed and the installation of new dead bodies and floating modules made of rotational polyethylene with expanded polystyrene cores-a total of 430 meters-the marina gained more than 220 new berths for boats from 7 to 20 meters in length. All pontoons are made of galvanized steel with fine wood footings and are equipped with all utilities (electricity, water, fire-fighting systems). The historic basin, which is home to some examples of the Phlegraean-Neapolitan gozzo – a traditional boat included in 2020 byUNESCO in the “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Campania,” is a very important landing place in the Campania Archipelago area.
A floating dock intended for cabs connecting the mainland withProcida Island has also been installed near the new facility. The investment was more than 1.5 million euros and will certainly represent a great opportunity for both citizens and tourists, who are always looking for summer landings in the Campania area.
