A key feature of Besenzoni’s Manta Comfort high-back chair is the ability to adjust the seat directly from the touchscreen control built into the armrest, which can also house the control instrumentation.

Besenzoni is the Italian excellence behind the seating you find on boats around the world.

Besenzoni SpA is an Italian company founded in Sarnico, in the province of Bergamo, in 1967 by Giovanni Besenzoni. These were the years when shipyards decided to
outsource some production processes, and thus the first companies dedicated exclusively to the production of accessories and components for the marine industry were born. Besenzoni is among the pioneers of this change and immediately establishes himself as one of the main protagonists, first with the invention of the stern platform with integrated swim ladder, dated 1973, and later with the introduction of the first hydraulic gangways equipped with remote control, in 1985.

Besenzoni’s Atelier division takes care of the creation of customized armchairs in a tailored manner, like a haute couture garment.

Protagonists on board

Today Besenzoni produces a very wide range of accessories, ranging from catwalks to ladders, cranes to stands, and even chairs. Precisely the collection of pilot seats
represents one of the most significant areas of excellence for Besenzoni. With a catalog that includes more than fifty active models, the company is able to offer solutions suitable as much for the controls of superyachts as for the compact planks of high-performance tenders, with emblematic models – to name three out of all – such as the historic President, the versatile Ikona P 465 and the more recent Manta, an expression of the stylistic and technological evolution of the range. The offerings are divided into different categories-seats with automatic, manual adjustments, or optimized for high speeds-all sharing the goal of ensuring maximum comfort, superior performance, and aesthetics integrated with the on-board environments.

The President chair is a comfortable fixed-back seat that can serve an indoor or outdoor pilot station.

The safety of made in Italy

Each model takes shape in-house, thanks to a development process that combines engineering know-how and stylistic attention, designed to ensure functional, ergonomic and highly customizable solutions that can meet the needs of the most diverse types of boats. The selected materials-lightweight yet strong, technical coatings and advanced adjustment solutions-are the result of constant research and innovation work aimed at meeting market trends and customer needs. The range guarantees a high degree of design flexibility, thanks to the wide possibilities of customization in materials, colors, technical details and mounting systems.

Manta Class is the low-back version of the Manta Comfort armchair. It can be had with a choice of leather or fabric upholstery.

Besenzoni. Custom designs for all vessels

With the introduction of the Atelier division, Besenzoni has further raised the bar, offering custom designs that are perfectly adaptable to the aesthetic and functional specifications of the boat. The entire production is carried out in-house with craftsmanship, guaranteeing unique seats finished to the finest detail. Among the most representative models, the President, introduced in 1995, remains one of the most popular seats globally, thanks to its balanced mix of solidity, elegance and comfort. After nearly three decades, it continues to be a reference for all types of pleasure craft. With manual adjustments, sleek lines and a compact yet ergonomic design, the Ikona P 465 seat is a practical and versatile solution, perfect for those seeking efficiency without sacrificing style. The seat is adjustable in height and depth, with a reclining backrest and fold-down armrests: features that make it ideal for environments where space and functionality are key.

Also from the armrest, on the Manta armchairs you control the LED lights that are built into the bottom and back of the seat.

Besenzoni ‘s most recent signature innovation is the Manta armchair, available in Comfort and Class versions. Designed with a focus on technology and contemporary design, it integrates advanced adjustment solutions and state-of-the-art materials, confirming itself as one of the most up-to-date and popular choices for owners and designers. Besenzoni ‘s seating collection continues to grow, driven by a vision that combines technology, design and craftsmanship. Each chair is conceived as a high-performance technical element but also as an integral part of the boat’s style and identity. A design approach that aims to offer solutions that are durable, elegant and geared toward enhancing the sailing experience.
