Forget the concept of the tender as a simple “cab” to get from the boat to the harbor. At Boot Düsseldorf, which will start in just two days, an object that wants to change the rules of the game will debut. It is called the Hurlo 325 and is the calling card of Besnati, a new Italian brand founded by entrepreneur Davide Besnati, with one goal: to transform the utility vehicle into a multifunctional and fun joker.

The comparison to go-karts or jet skis is not accidental. We are talking about a hull just 3.25 meters long (by 1.78 wide) that hides an impressive 170-horsepower Rotax engine with waterjet transmission under the seat. The power-to-weight ratio is mind-boggling, and the result is a top speed that exceeds 50 knots.

If the performance is jet-ski-like, the styling is mini-yacht-like. The lines bear the signature of Valerio Rivellini, who collaborates with Evo Yachts, among others. He wanted to give this Hurlo 325 the same extremely aggressive look, the child of angular and extreme geometries.

What does it look like

The layout is also very special: rearward-facing driver’s station, wraparound seating and a sports car cockpit, complete with a Formula 1-inspired steering wheel, just like on the racetrack. In the bow, the layout becomes almost a “mini-bowrider,” with a sofa for two people facing forward, who will be able to enjoy all the adrenaline of a ride on the waves.

But Davide Besnati’s goal is to offer a tender that is an object of pleasure in itself, capable not only of serving the yacht that embarks it, but of complementing its identity, making every move an exciting and rewarding experience. For this, the Hurlo 325 comes in three different guises, all hyper-customizable and equipped with dual Garmin displays and high-end sound system:

  • Classic: silver livery and beige cushions, for those seeking elegance to match a classic yacht;
  • Sport: black, gray and alcantara upholstery for a look of pure badassery;
  • Fish: a very special version outfitted with rod holders and accessories, for those who do not want to give up fishing even when getting off the flagship.
