Blue Flag 2021
Blue Flag 2021 – Marina di Loano

Blue Flag 2021, which are the most environmentally virtuous ports in Italy? In our peninsula, choosing where to moor with a motor boat is always quite a dilemma. The ports are many and welcoming, some in truly breathtaking locations. How to decide? Extra help can come from the Blue Flag. This is an award given to those ports that respect the environment and promote the preservation of the Mediterranean. There are 81 Blue Flag marinas in Italy. Below are what they are:

Blue flag 2021: the top regions

At the regional level, Liguria leads the 2021 Blue Flag ports ranking with 15 landings awarded the prestigious flag, followed by Friuli-Venezia Giulia (12 ports) and Sardinia tied with Campania (10 ports).

Blue Flag 2021 “veterans” such as Marina Cala de’ Medici or Marina di Varazze in the past 11 and 13 years, respectively, have achieved the flag consecutively. Marina D’Arechi is reaching its seventh consecutive flag this year, while Marina di Loano has won nine. Among the new entries, unique in Sicily, is the Marina di Capo D’Orlando, which acquires the flag after four years of operation.
