We’ve already introduced it to you in this article, but today we’re back to talk about one of the most interesting new models that will be on display from September 8 to 13 at the Cannes Yachting Festival in the stunning setting of the Vieux Port (booth PAN 302). We’re talking about the Bluegame BG64, the latest addition from the Ameglia-based shipyard, which has already won over the market, with three units sold even before its official debut at the French show.

The design philosophy behind this new model revolves entirely around a single concept: comfort. And it is precisely with this in mind that the shipyard decided to equip the new 64-foot yacht with the latest-generation gyroscopic stabilizer Smartgyro SG40.

Bluegame BG64 and Smartgyro SG40

This choice is anything but random. Bluegame and Smartgyro have, in fact, already established a partnership involving several models in the lineup, and the BG64 represents a further step in this direction. During commissioning and sea trials, the SG40 achieved a reduction in roll of up to 86%, a figure that highlights just how significantly stabilization can improve the quality of the voyage and the livability of the spaces on board.

Smartgyro SG40

In fact, the Smartgyro SG40 does more than just improve onboard comfort while sailing: gyroscopic stabilization is particularly valuable even at anchor, when rolling motion can become bothersome and detract from the enjoyment of the boat’s interior and exterior spaces.

After all, we’re talking about a yacht designed to provide unforgettable moments at sea, thanks to its large openings to the outside, a practically enormous beach club, spaces designed to be enjoyed without any separation between inside and outside, and simply unparalleled direct contact with the sea.

SG40, the new generation

The debut of the BG64 also coincides with an important milestone for Smartgyro. In 2025, the company completed a major upgrade program for the SG40, focusing on performance, efficiency, and ease of maintenance.

The result is a new generation of stabilizers developed based on more than ten years of operational experience and feedback gathered directly in the field. Among the goals of this evolution are greater stabilization effectiveness, lower energy consumption, and improved accessibility for service work, while maintaining the compact size and installation flexibility that have contributed to the system’s widespread adoption in numerous marine projects.

The collaboration with Bluegame, however, does not stop with the new BG64. Smartgyro stabilizers are already featured on several of the shipyard’s models, including the BG54, BGX63, and BGM75—the latter being a particularly interesting example of the use of gyroscopic technology on a multihull platform.
