Those who want to grow in size but do not intend to make the leap into the superyacht sphere may find their ideal boat in these three proposals. The very rational and effective distribution of space results in very large, yet compact boats.

Used boats: 3 large but compact flying bridges
Azimut Yachts Azimut 60 Fly
An 18-meter flying bridge that was created to give a great level of comfort. Externally, the Azimut 60 replicates the characteristic elements of the fly range, such as the fin on the deckhouse, which fits into the play of curved lines of the crystals, making the boat’s profile unmistakable even from a distance. The interior décor, where three cabins are provided, favors light contrasts, with honey-stained oak wood and cream-colored valances.
The flying bridge and cockpit are among the widest in the class, so much so that the tender, in addition to the dinghy, can be hoisted onto the fly with a 250 kg crane. The foredeck is complemented by an off-center outside wheelhouse with a two-seat settee and the sun deck that extends over the port broadside to the dinette, which can optionally be converted into additional sundecks; to the left is the bar cabinet. The cockpit is equipped with ample storage space including the compartment built into the fly ladder.
In all the rooms of this Azimut, the contact with the sea is never interrupted: the large saloon is in direct communication with the cockpit and presents the complete galley just ahead of the cozy dinette. The starboard cabinet also contains the retractable video screen, while all drawers are cushioned and with anti-roll structures to eliminate vibration and increase comfort. This is complemented by the hi-tech dashboard and distinctly sporty look. On the lower deck, the master cabin’s double bed is positioned at a 45-degree angle to create maximum living space, and the full-beam bathroom separates the cabin from the engine room. The VIP cabin is forward, while the third twin-bed cabin is to starboard.
Tools such as Easy Docking and Easy Handling allow this 18-meter boat to be maneuvered like a vessel, whether in port or at sea.

Cranchi Fifty8 Fly
Exceptional is the layout of this boat, which was created on the basis of concepts that it is hard not to agree with: space, rationality and innovation combined with an aesthetic appeal. The tradition of the shipyard, which has been producing boats since 1870, is an additional guarantee.
From the aft bathing platform, two convenient stairs lead to a very large cockpit, in which there is a dinette served by the galley, which is on the boundary line of the salon, so that the interior dining area is also conveniently served. Another huge dinette is aft of the full-beam fly, plus there is a wetbar and a large sunbathing area forward with the helm station to port. Among the goodies, the beautiful shaped chaise-longue cannot be missed. In contrast, the forward sundeck is classic, offering the option of a swiveling backrest and is very easy to reach thanks to the generous walkways well protected by the sturdy stanchion.
But it is mainly in the interiors that this boat comes into its own, with the below-deck layout featuring three cabins, as many as two with walk-in closets, plus two bathrooms with shower stalls. The spaces are really huge on both the lower and main decks. Credit also goes to the Volvo Ips transmissions that allow the engines to be moved aft, gaining useful volume for the habitability of the very lower deck. Going up on the main one, called the barycentric galley with the cockpit to starboard, neatly gathered in an L-shaped cabinet, opposite to the left, we find a convivial area with a settee on the broadside and, forward, the covered dinette. The dashboard is centrally located with the convenient stairs down to the sleeping area to starboard.

Ferretti Yachts Ferretti 720
This model from Ferretti Yachts meets the needs of those looking for a boat with the right balance between a “compact” exterior line and top-notch living solutions, both outside and inside. The design features a roll cage with integrated bimini top and a continuous window that runs along the main deck, giving it great sportiness.
The large openview windows placed in the hull are complemented by large windows positioned to illuminate the guest cabins. The cockpit is a true outdoor living room with teak floor and large table with sofa and armchairs for 8-10 guests. Through the staircase located on the left side, one reaches the flying bridge where there is a large dining area with a U-shaped table, grill area and refrigerator. The davit allows the housing of the tender for which a special space is reserved, while a jet ski can be placed on the aft spoiler. In the bow, to the right, is the exterior dashboard in a raised position for maximum visibility and a spacious sundeck. In the bow, an additional large sundeck.
Great liveability characterizes the large salon, which is divided inside into living and dining areas towards the bow with a large table and the galley in a separate room. The driver’s station is located on the left and enjoys maximum visibility. On the left, the door to the outside opens: this allows the crew to access the galley-pilot house area without passing through the salon. The master cabin is full-width amidships, and continuing toward the bow are two comfortable cabins with double beds, both with private bathrooms with large separate showers, and the VIP cabin, forward, with a large bathroom.
