Sunreef Power 55 Open – 17 m
It is usually difficult to find a catamaran, especially a larger one, with an attractive line. This is not the case with Sunreef’s 55 Open, which aims to combine speed, stability and luxury. The yacht’s main features include a walkaround deck, a large semi-open salon, and a spacious stern with two fold-down broadside platforms. The 55 Open Sunreef Power will be produced at a new shipyard in the United Arab Emirates.
Super Lauwersmeer SLX54 – 17 m
The new flagship of Dutch shipyard Super Lauwersmeer is named SLX54. In fifty years, the shipyard had never made a model of this size, which required, in fact, an entire year of study to develop. As befits a top model, “Project 54” is packed with innovations, including a very interesting new layout.
Even from the exteriors there is a modern thrust on a classic layout, but one that creates an aesthetically pleasing effect. For example, there appears to be free-standing space aft in the renderings, while the upper cockpit is upstairs. This expands the inner salon, which instead has a raised wheelhouse. Undoubtedly a boat to be seen up close at the upcoming Düsseldorf Boat Show.
Ferretti 580 – 18 m
Also debuting at Boot Düsseldorf 2023 will be the Ferretti Yachts 580, one of the most anticipated models in the segment. A great classic with an overall length of 18 meters and width of 5 that confirms the success of the formula found by Filippo Salvetti, designer, with this one, of the exteriors of already six Ferretti boats, also in the light of the 11 units that result already sold. Düsseldorf will certainly be an important showcase to get noticed by potential new owners who will be able to customize much of this yacht, starting with the choice of one of the two available versions: the Classic focuses on colorations with warm earthy elements, while the Contemporary is more inspired by marine colorations, with bright essences and cool-hued fabrics.
Mylius MY62 – 19.5 m
Born from the collaboration between Ceccarelli Yacht Design studios and Parisotto + Formento, the world premiere of Mylius MY62, the brand-new 19.5-meter from the shipyard of the same name, debuts. With absolutely distinctive lines, the MY62 is a boat designed to maximize onboard experiences and comfort, but without sacrificing performance. There are many spaces dedicated to conviviality, starting with the interior salon with adjoining kitchen, but we also find notable areas on deck, with fly, cockpit, and bow portions designed to accommodate guests. Thanks to its two cabins, the boat accommodates up to 4 guests on board, plus 1 crew member, housed in a dedicated cabin. In terms of construction and propulsion, the boat is built of solid up to the waterline, then lightens the structures by gradually switching to a more classic sandwich with carbon inserts and reinforcements. Instead, propulsion is provided by two Volvo Penta D13-IPS 1350 for maximum speeds of 28 knots. Read the full article here
Azimut S7 – 21.68 m
It is undoubtedly among the most anticipated innovations for 2023 and is making its debut in Germany. Sporty, comfortable and fuel-efficient thanks to significant work on weights and water lines. All without sacrificing volume and space on board. The Azimut S7 is Azimut’s new 21.68-meter S-Series motor yacht. On the exteriors, there is the signature of Alberto Mancini, who worked to create a sleek boat that, between the hull and superstructure, blends harmoniously, with references between shapes and colors. There is an aft platform and cockpit above, a convivial area with sofas and tables, and a bar cabinet just before access to the fly.
The latter has several convivial areas, with sofas, tables, and the outdoor wheelhouse. In the bow we find a second cockpit dedicated to relaxation with a triple sundeck and a large C-shaped sofa, complete with coffee table. As for the interior, there is an airy living room with large windows. There are four cabins: a bright and well-kept suite, three guest cabins plus one for the crew. The propulsion system is given by three 800-horsepower Volvo Penta IPS D13 1050s with a top speed of 35 knots. The hull was developed in cooperation with Volvo engineers and, according to preliminary data, the reduction in fuel consumption is about 20-30% at the most frequent operating speeds, compared to similar boats with a traditional-edged hull and centerline.
Pearl 72 – 21.99 m
The Pearl 72 makes its European debut at Boot Düsselorf. After the premiere in the U.S., it is in fact the German showroom that has been chosen to show this Pearl to the general public on the Old Continent. This yacht fits in between the Pearl 80 and the 62 as a middle model on a size that is highly coveted in the market. The newcomer is 21.99 meters long and 5.75 meters wide, and boasts over all, a twin set of master staterooms and interiors featuring the so-called New York-style cool-vibe, as her designer, Kelly Hoppen CBE, called them. As for the exterior, Bill Dixon once again demonstrates the goodness of this partnership by bringing huge broadside windows and ample interior brightness.
Accessed from the cockpit, the main deck offers a large L-shaped sofa facing the starboard broadside, which is instead furnished. Proceeding further, to the left are stairs to the lower deck, while to starboard is a fully equipped galley and, just beyond, the wheelhouse. Opposite the wheelhouse is a table with seating, dedicated to lunches and dinners. The lower deck, which is dedicated to cabins, houses a total of 4 rooms and as many bathrooms, for a total of 8 beds, plus the dedicated crew cabin, housed aft. In the standard version, the propulsion unit consists of two 1400-horsepower MAN V12s, possibly replaceable with the more powerful duo of MTU 10V 2000 M96L with 1600 horsepower. Princess S 72 – 23.09 m
The latest addition to Princess Yachts’ S-segment will soon be revealed at Boot Düsseldorf 2023, but we already know she is the second largest in the range, with an impressive 23.09 meters in length and intenri space for 8 people. Looking at its particularly sleek lines, one immediately notices the fly, pleasantly elongated toward the stern, where a lounge area is accompanied by an external wheelhouse. The broadside windows also accompany the entire profile well, tracing an elegant and contemporary design that not only keeps the freeboard light, but also gives ample light to the interior, especially to the salon, where we find large convivial airs, galley and accesses to the sleeping areas, divided into 4 cabins. As for propulsion, however, two engines of 1,800 horsepower each will push the approximately 55 tons of the Princess S72 up to 34/36 knots.
Boot Düsseldorf 2023: Sunseeker Sport Yacht 75 – 23 m
The new Sunseeker Sport Yacht 75 is the ultimate 23-meter sport cruiser. And in this case the definition Sport is perfectly fitting. This new yacht will be capable of touching 40 knots and will be offered in two versions: one with two MAN V12-1550 engines, the other with two 1900s. At the trim level, the yard led by CEO Andrea Frabetti has improved its choice of materials, with new options for exterior upholstery and moldings. Four new gray hull colors are also available.
Aft, this yacht relies on perfect symmetry of the two side ladders and an XL platform on the water. There is also space here for a garage for a Williams 395 tender. The interior configuration includes three cabins, with an optional fourth cabin in place of the lower deck saloon. Fine woods, contrasting fabrics and rich lacquers, combined with indirect, dimmable lighting, create a sophisticated and atmospheric environment. There can then be a maximum of 8 guests on board plus two crew members. Read the full article here. Read the full article here.
Boot Düsseldorf 2023: SD90 Sanlorenzo – 27.43 m
Technological efficiency, excellent performance, and environmental friendliness are some of the first notes that emerge when thinking about Sanlorenzo’s recent productions, which is now returning to the charge with a new little masterpiece, the Sanlorenzo SD90. At 27.43 meters long, the Italian shipyard’s newcomer is a combination of design and technology, a yacht with clean, elegant lines and equally good numbers. In fact, the new SD90 offers a new layout designed to ensure maximum livability of the boat, thanks also to novel solutions introduced both externally and internally, so as to return an absolutely revisited relationship with the spaces.
Spaces that are, of course, geared toward maximizing the entire experience, whether it be interiors or exteriors, all of which are particularly well cared for, right down to the cabins, which offer the possibility of accommodating up to 8 guests on board, plus 4 for crew. In terms of propulsion, however, two different configurations are available: a first, consisting of two 800-horsepower MAN i 6s, allows speeds of up to 14 knots, while a second, larger version pushes the hull to over 17 knots thanks to two 1,200-horsepower MAN V8s.
