Boats have long been in Bosch Engineering’s sights. A year ago, a kit was presented by the company a kit for electrifying boats under 24 meters. Today a further step is taken, namely a partnership with an established name in electric boating such as X Shore, which has long been a promoter of a carbon-free approach.
Bosch Engineering
has developed a new electric propulsion system for the Swedish shipyard

X Shore, a Swedish company, chose to partner with Bosch Engineering because it shares the same green principles and vision. Reducing emissions even in the boating world and making the sea a less polluted place is among the goals of these two brands.
The propulsion system that Bosch Engineering developed for the X Shore 1 electric boat includes the company’s largest motor produced for boats, theinverter, and the gearbox produced by Bosch Rexroth. The electric motor thus developed, in addition to being powerful and compact, is also extremely quiet, a factor greatly appreciated by those who choose electric boating.
