If we take a boat model and think about its ideal use, we cannot disregard the place of use. They know this well at Boston Whaler, where, for example, one of the very latest models, the 12-meter Conquest 405, works perfectly as both a cruiser and a pure fisherman. What changes? Simple, the area of use. This Boston Whaler, a model the U.S. brand has its sights set on, will make its European debut at Boot Düsseldorf, the first boat show of 2023, Jan. 21-29.

In the U.S. he is a pure fisherman. What about here at home? Introduced as the suv of the sea, it is an adventure-ready cruiser. The 405 is the latest creation in Boston Whaler’s Conquest segment, a high-performance, versatile and user-friendly boat. Designed for long sailing and prolonged days at sea, the 405 Conquest will, of course, appeal to fishing enthusiasts as well, offering itself as a good vehicle for entire days spent on the high seas.
The large amount of feedback Boston Whaler receives from its owners has enabled it to develop a 12-meter outboard cabin cruiser capable of combining comfort and seaworthiness, thanks in part to a high-performance, high-quality hull .
As for exteriors, the cockpit is smooth and spacious, ideal for fishing trips, facilitated by all the necessary accessories, including coolers, live bait tanks, and a broadside hatch, ideal for catch retrieval. As we see in the photos below, however, even those who simply want to browse in relaxation will find everything they need.
In the bow we find a large double sundeck, while in the salon are two double seats facing a table, a galley at the broadside, and double stations at the control instrumentation.
Below deck, on the other hand, there is first of all a living room with a sofa (which can become a bunk) and kitchen.
As a vessel suitable for both fishing and cruising, special space has been given to the owner’s cabin in the bow, equipped with significant storage areas and various on-board amenities, not the least of which is space.
The bathroom is shared with the rest of the interior, although enclosed, while an additional berth is provided aft of the salon.
In total, therefore, although there is only one enclosed cabin, sleeping accommodations can range from four (two forward and two aft) to six, in this case also taking advantage of the sofa in the salon.
Thrust, as with all hulls produced by EdgeWater’s brand, is provided by Mercury outboards, in this case (as a minimum power output) by four Verado engines of 300 horsepower each. Various other configurations are available, however.
