The Düsseldorf Boat Show was the occasion for the debut of the highly anticipated Brabus Shadow 900 by Brabus Marine. This 11.7-metre thoroughbred, which is also the brand’s new flagship, is capable of over 60 knots of speed. The data released by the shipyard estimates the “fast cruising” around 50 knots. The boat has so far only navigated during the test.

Brabus Shadow 900: what’s new

In Düsseldorf debut both the standard model and the limited edition “Black Ops” model with a completely black livery. The first limited edition, ‘1 of 37’, underwent a meticulous process to meet the quality requirements of the hull with painting and polishing without any automation, a process that can take up to six weeks.

Compared to the previous model, the 800, this boat has changed and evolved the shape of the hull and its hydrodynamics. Hours of research and development, data analysis with CFD and physical tests at sea to reach a comfortable cruising speed of 30-40 knots and a “fast cruising” speed of up to 50 knots.

The maximum is over 60 knots with two very powerful engines. In fact, the Shadow 900 features two Mercury Marine Verado XL 4.6 litre V8 outboard with 450 horsepower each. This engine is equipped also with Joystick Piloting to facilitate maneuvers. Discocer more about this engines

With a simple and ergonomic new supercar rudder, it has a console where everything is hi-tech with a display based on two 12 inch screens with a BRABUS user interface offering a selection of driver-oriented sports modes.

An optional Extended Navigation Package extends the Glass bridge / InformationDisplay with two additional 9-inch screens, 4G WIFI On-Board connectivity for smartphones, laptops, Apple TV etc. and a BRABUS Lock Box in the front lounge controlled by a 5″ Touch display.

On board there is space for storage “adventurous” equipment: water toys and much more. A wider bow deck than the first model and layout that allows more freedom of movement all around the boat. Below decks there is a significantly extended front saloon, with automotive-inspired Gullwing doors and also available with an optional closed toilet compartment.
