C Cat 40 Power Fish: this 12m catamarans is the ultimate fishing machine

The power catamaran boom is a phenomenon that has been gaining momentum in recent years. With the C Cat 40 Power Fish, C- Catamarans debuts in the world of power catamarans, with a model dedicated to sport fishermen. Projects from 37 to over 60 feet have been born in the sailing line. Now the Shipyard of Rome, bets on the motor with the C 40 Power and the C 40 Power Fish. This new catamaran will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021.

This model, with a markedly sporty imprint, combines on board a fishing soul with the cruiser quality that catamarans have. The C-Cat 40 Power Fish is a multihull built by C-Catamarans, a brand born in 2015, but with important origins in Comar Yachts, shipyard known in the sailing world with the famous Comet.

The project of this sport catamaran is developed by Marc Lombard, expert in fast catamarans. Navigation and performance are among the main strengths. The hull is born a dedicated study and in the first exits has reached 18 knots of speed, consuming a liter per mile at cruising speed 13/14 knots. The great stability of the shape of the catamaran combined with the shape of the hulls allows this unit to navigate even with formed sea cutting through the waves and showing good performance in all gaits.

C Cat 40 Power Fish – For fishing

On board there are two large tanks of the catch with direct discharge to the sea for the ice. For cruising, these spaces are instead used to stow water toys, etc. On board there are also three divergents, rod holders and other fishing equipment.

The platform, in addition to being an ideal space for bathing, can be closed on the transom, to make it even safer to navigate in rough seas.

C Cat 40 Power Fish – Interiors

The interiors are available in versions from 2 to 4 cabins with 2 bathrooms. The cockpit and dinette are divided only by a sliding door that can be fully opened. The cockpit is covered by a hard top designed to be completely closed through fabric or composite panels that can be removed later. This solution allows to extend the dinette ensuring a sufficient external space for maneuvering.

C-Catamarans on C Cat 40 Powerfish has also worked to harmonize the external shapes. The flybridge is reached by two lateral staircases so as not to affect the interior spaces.
