A cabin weekender? Here is the De Antonio Yachts D32 (9.9 m)

If you are looking for a fast, comfortable boat that has just the right amount of space for a family weekend getaway, the new D32 Open from De Antonio Yachts is definitely worth a look. Marc de Antonio and Stan Chmielewski, founders of De Antonio Yachts, unveiled this new model on the heels of the Barcelona Boat Show, a “home” event for the Spanish brand.

We will test it in Barcelona next week, but while waiting for the test let’s see what the new compact weekender looks like according to De Antonio.

De Antonio D32 Open

De Antonio Yachts showcases the younger sister of the
De Antonio Yachts D36
. The setting is very similar to the award-winning 36, simply declined in smaller spaces. This does not mean, however, that the D32 Open sacrifices anything on board; on the contrary. In fact, there is virtually everything one could want for a weekend away both on deck and below deck.

Deck

In fact, compared to the D36 we have a little less space amidships while still keeping the pure walkaround layout. This results, on deck, in a dinette that instead of being U-shaped is made up of two benches with a table in the middle that, however, can be facing forward. The kitchen cabinet is somewhat smaller and space for the garage tender is then lost, while storage space is multiplied.

In short, a less “cruise-like” but more agile solution for weekends away. As always, the aft platform is flanked by the sundeck that conceals the shipyard’s trademark outboard motors underneath. The dashboard enjoys as many as three seats, anything but trivial on an open of this size. Completing the bow is a second sundeck, at the base of the windshield.

De Antonio D32 Open – Below Deck

Underdeck space is recovered by an excellent bedding solution. With the help of outboard propulsion, which eliminates the engine room, the volumes especially in the stern can be maximized. In fact, in the rear cabin we have a little less height and a fixed layout. Space however, even inside, seems not to be lacking. There is also a separate bathroom.

Performance

A walkaround from De Antonio Yachts cannot do without performance. With a maximum speed of 50 knots, pushing this sandwich-built vessel are two 200-horsepower or two 300-hp outboards. This hull takes advantage of a

How much does the new D32 Open from De Antonio Yachts cost? The base price of the hull is 190,000 euros to which the engines (starting at about 40,000 euros for the pair) and VAT must be added.
