The Cannes Yachting Festival 2020 has been canceled. According to reports in the international press, Reed Exposition, organizer of the Cannes Yachting Festival, has decided to cancel the event scheduled for September 8-13. The organizers reserved the right to decide today, August 21, the future of the event, and give a final answer. The verdict finally came: no Cannes Yachting Festival in 2020.

What happened to the Cannes Yachting Festival

The situation in Europe in recent days has significantly worsened and worsened in terms of contagion and spread of the Coronavirus. As early as 11 August 2020, the number of contagions had led the French government to ban all events gathering more than 5,000 people simultaneously until 30 October. The iconic Salon of the French Riviera has therefore no longer had the prerequisites for the success of the event.

Canceled one of the most important boats shows at the international level, the Cannes Yachting Festival, the protagonist in the Mediterranean together with the Genoa Boat Show. Meanwhile, just yesterday the Annapolis Boat Show was also canceled.
