At Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 there are must-see boats for all tastes and sizes. Today we look at the review of the best 12- to 15-meter boats debuting at the Cannes Boat Show 2023.
Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 – The boats from 12 to 15 meters
Saxdor 400 GTO – 12 m
A new flagship arrives for the young but already popular Finnish shipyard. A new 40-footer is coming to the market in 2023 that is set to do battle in its segment, after being widely anticipated in recent months: it is called Saxdor 400 GTO and points to two-step hull, two outboards, standard folding broadside and plenty of available space between exterior and interior. The cockpit has two surprisingly large fold-down terraces that fold down and turn the entire cockpit into a very large waterfront lounge.
Between the salon and aft area we find a glass window dividing the two areas, while a second convivial area is located forward with a coffee table surrounded by a V-shaped sofa. As we have already seen on the Saxdor 270 (8.5 m) at the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2023, the choice of mounting a transom with a glass window that enhances the contact between those on board and the sea is confirmed. Below deck is a double cabin in the bow, a separate bathroom, and the option of a children’s cabin and a double cabin amidships, below the wheelhouse.

Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. Windy 40 Camira RS – 12 m
Windy announces a new 12-meter, cabin cruiser complete with every accessory for enjoying one’s days on the water. From the capacious garage for water toys, to the diverse and well-kept lounge areas, the preview suggests a boat with an active and dynamic spirit, as evidenced also by the 44 knots, underscored by sleek lines and a layout that suggests attention to comfort and enjoyment. Moving around the cockpit, however, the atmosphere becomes more comfort-oriented.
Sheltered by the T-top, in fact, we find a large lounge area (complete with an L-shaped sofa and table) and the dashboard, served by wraparound upholstered seating. Also to the left, on the bridge, are accesses to the bow and below deck with galley, toilet room (complete with shower) and the aft cabin, the latter of which is available as a single or double. At the propulsion level, one can have a pair of Volvo Penta D6-440 AQ or a pair of Yamaha 400hp outboards or a possible triple engine with Yamaha 300hp.

Frauscher 1212 GHOST AIR – 12 m
The 1212 Ghost Air is the latest addition to the Austrian brand’s “Air” family. It will be unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 as a world premiere, and so far few details have been revealed about it. We had tried the 1212 Ghost “classic” which had largely lived up to expectations. The AIR version promises to be just as interesting, probably with additional outdoor space in the bow.
Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. Beneteau Antares 12 – 12.97 m
The new flagship raises the bar by projecting the Antares 12 somewhere between weekender and cruiser. A boat that carries true cruising elements and has 3 cabins: master with private bath, VIP guests, and a third with single or double berths or as on-board storage. Considering that then the salon, as is often the case on this type of boat, can become an additional double berth, the number of berths reaches 8.
The hardtop in this case forms the basis for a great flybridge to which is added the large aft cockpit and the sundeck forward. It can be powered by two 400 HP Mercury Verado V10s but also by three 300 HP Mercury Verado V8 engines. The Antares 12, while having more “cruising” features, does not deny its dayboat DNA. Each of the three convivial/relaxation areas is equipped with seating and stowage to give everyone on board a place to enjoy their surroundings while sailing or at anchor. For those who enjoy water sports there is a side platform lowers to allow easy access in the water and on land. Read the full article here.
Fiart Seawalker 43 Panorama – 13 m
The progenitor of Fiart’s walkaround family, the 43 Seawalker, evolves and becomes “panorama.” What changes? The main new feature is the new wide central windshield that protects the dashboard, but with skillful interplay between the windows and pillars amplifies contact with the outdoors to the maximum. The aftmost crystal, the one above the kitchen and living area, can be fitted with a panel system to collect solar energy to generate and store clean energy just by sailing.
Also benefiting on this new version is the layout with even larger outdoor spaces that retain the typical walkarounds, but with more surface area available as well as the outdoor kitchen, which is larger. The hard top is connected directly to the windshield and creates a curvy line when looking at the boat in profile. The first opportunity to observe her live will be the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, which will see the 43 Panorama officially make its world premiere.
Swan Overshadow – 13.0 m
The Finnish brand, which is a holy monster in sailing, is taking its second step into the world of motoring and introducing the new Swan Overshadow, scheduled to debut at the Cannes Boat Show 2023. This 13-meter model follows the idea traced by the Swan Shadow and is designed for increased on-board livability particularly aft and below deck, while retaining remarkable speed qualities. Thus, we go from a pure day boat to a weekender that has two possible layouts below deck with a double or twin-bed configuration. The double configuration offers more comfort when spending a weekend away from home, while the two-bed configuration offers more floor space, creating a seating area. Basically it will be offered with inboard engines to increase the stern area on the platform. In this way the sundeck exceeds two meters in length. In the bow of this section we find a dining area with two sofas to conclude with a wet bar hidden under the hard-top (with central opening) that dominates the entire central part of the deck.
Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. Solaris Power 52 Open – 15 m
New to Solaris Power is a 16.2-meter cabin cruiser with top-of-the-line volume and layout: the Solaris Power 52 Open. The latest, designed by the in-house team and Brunello Acampora / Victory Design, combines a deep-V hull with a starry bow, which keeps the boat dry even in waves and at high speeds. The deck is utilized to its fullest, with a very spacious sundeck that is expanded even further by taking advantage of the folding bulwarks and the beach area of the swim platform.
The cockpit is protected by the large t-top and available in three variations: C-shaped sofa towards the stern and single bench, pair of benches or C-shaped sofa towards the bow with two chaise lounges. Instead, close to the three seats serving the helm station we find a bar cabinet with a full kitchen. For the interiors, there are two proposed layouts, and they include a two- or three-cabin double configuration, always with full two bathrooms. Engines chapter: the standard version provides a pair of 480-horsepower Volvo Penta D6 IPS 650 and develops a maximum speed of 30 knots, the more powerful one reaches 35 knots thanks to the two 600-horsepower Volvo Penta D8 IPS 800.
Wellcraft 435 – 13 m
After the debut of the very fast
Wellcraft
355
Wellcraft’s new powerboat is a 13-footer that changes course. The basic setting, even in line, is that, but the type of owner and use is very different. The 435 aims for more volume to become the fast cruising boat according to Wellcraft. A little less pushed, then, in terms of performance than its little brother (it still registers over 40 knots of top speed), but with an extra cabin and bathroom. One of the new boats to watch out for if you want to combine performance and space on board. Read our test here.
Siren 48 – 13 m
The compact cruiser according to Sirena Yachts debuts at Cannes 2023. It is the smallest of the Turkish shipyard’s cruisers, but shares the same features as its bigger sisters. At 15.96 meters long and 4.93 wide at maximum beam, the shipyard’s new 48-footer aims to bring on a “smaller” size than other models, care and comfort, but details and spaces suitable for a wide variety of needs, from day-cruising to extended cruising.

LOMAC GRANTURISMO 14.0 – 14 m
The flagship of Lomac’s signature airboats has been revamped by the shipyard, which has completely revised the design of the GranTurismo 14.0. In fact, we find a redesigned layout to improve habitability, the cockpit for example can accommodate a large central fold-down table and respective seating for 8 or 10 people. The t-top stands out for its length and sinuosity, and was made of lightweight and strong materials, such as aramid fibers.
There is also a large sunbathing area in the stern, with widened side passages for easy boarding. Proceeding toward the bow instead we find a very large covered and secure sunbathing area. At its best, however, this maxi rib is below deck. The design and details are extremely well thought out, both for the cabin and the common areas and dinette, and a bathroom with separate shower and storage lockers are also on board. Coming to the powertrain, the Lomac GranTurismo 14.0 will be powered by three outboard engines, the power ratings of which have not yet been announced. In any case, the performance of the fairings was simulated in CFD (computational fluid dynamics) to achieve maximum performance at all speeds.
Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. FIM 440 rEGINA – 13.6 m
In 440 Regina, the FIM shipyard aims to condense all its experience, gathered with the other two models. This new sport yacht has a hard top and is designed for cruising with up to 4 berths, ample outdoor space and attractive performance. There are, to be fair, two versions: one open, with the lower front window, and one with an integrated hard top and closed glass.
Features of this new FIM include side decks, aft lift platform and retractable gangway, all of which enhance livability and comfort on the deck. The middle model, between FIM 340 and 470 inside features spaces with a (remarkable) height of two meters and natural light. There is an equipped galley, a convertible forward dinette, two bathrooms with separate showers, and an aft master cabin. A folding wall provides room separation and creates two large cabins, both with private access to the bathroom.
MAREX 420 – 13 m
Also the shipyard
Marex
, a Norwegian brand, brings a double novelty to the Cannes boat show. It is the Marex 420, available in a Gourmet Cruiser version, equipped with a large kitchen, or the 420 Scandinavia version with a second dining room inside.
