The most beautiful boats in the world for some, the most famous for all. The legendary Riva motorboats return to fill the Gulf of Tigullio, Liguria, in Santa Margherita Ligure, where the fourth edition of the Carlo Riva tribute, which would have been 100 years old this year, will be held. It is also the 60th anniversary of the presentation of the first Aquarama, a model that has become a symbol of the Riva myth.
The Tribute is organized by the “Riva Society Tigullio,” the first among the historic Riva Clubs born in Liguria as well as being the first on the sea in Italy. With 180 years since the birth of the Riva shipyard, 100 years since the birth of Carlo Riva(read more here) and 60 years since the birth of the Aquarama, the Carlo Riva Tribute 2022 promises to be a truly impressive occasion.
From June 2 to 5, owners of vintage Riva motorboats (

) will meet in Santa Margherita Ligure. The reason? To revive again those emotions and taste that made the brand and Made in Italy famous all over the world. At the same time, Riva fans can enjoy unique performances and parades. This is also thanks to the location, Santa Margherita Ligure, among the pearls of the Tigullio Gulf.
Organizers report there will be more than 40 boats taking part in the event. The chosen area will be the Calata del Porto, with the Hospitality Village set up at the beginning of the Calata itself, while the entire city will be involved in the spirit of the event and will host meetings and initiatives dedicated to participants and the general public, including a traveling photography exhibition for the duration of the gathering.
The event will be spread over four days, the last of which will be optional, within which the attending crews will have the opportunity to compete in singular tests of skill, sail side-by-side and more. On the final day there will be the traditional pageant of elegance.
