Tirranna AMG Cigarette
This boat is Cigarette‘s high-performance flagship and the team’s engineers have focused on building a lightweight, yet strong boat. Tapered carbon fiber hardtop, like the entire superstructure to lower the center of gravity and improve handling.
The hull and deck are made in vacuum infusion using a composite lamination plane. The dashboard is a nano-coated, anti-reflective and heat-resistant solid surface, which also features titanium fasteners.
The design of the 59′ Tirranna in the AMG version is the result of close collaboration between the Cigarette Racing Team, the Mercedes AMG Design Team and Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG.
Full throttle with Mercury Marine super outboards
The Cigarette Racing Team 59‘ in AMG version is equipped with six 4.6 litre outboard V8 Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines supercharged (WATCH THE VIDEO), each producing 450 peak horsepower. Together, these engines produce 2,700 horsepower, allowing a top speed of almost 70 knots.
Not bad for a boat that can accommodate up to 26 people, combining the ease of use of a centre console with the style, spaciousness and performance of a luxury sports boat. It is equipped with a gyrostabilizer capable of reducing the roll of the boat by 80%.
This feature is particularly pleasant when stationary in rough waters, and also helps when the boat is used as a tender for a large yacht. The boat is equipped with both bow and stern thrusters, which makes docking very easy for a boat of this size.
Unmistakable design
The black metallic hull of the boat is completed by a AMG golden diamond design. The layout on the lower level of the Cigarette is characterized by a large sofa with a cabinet that hides a refrigerator, an additional storage room and a television. Further along is a California king size bed and a large enclosed bathroom with separate shower.
The premium leather cabin upholstery is handcrafted, while the upper deck is in a coating that reflects up to 30% of the heat absorbed. This technology has made it possible to choose a darker colour on deck. Three windows on each side of the hull offer a view of the sea from inside the cabin, while the skylights in both the hardtop and the cabin create a bright and spacious atmosphere inside. The skylight curtains can be closed when privacy is desired.
Full volume on the Tirranna AMG Cigarette
For entertainment, Cigarette Racing has teamed up with JL Audio Marine to develop Cigarette Pure Plus: a 29-speaker 5,200-watt audio system provides exceptional sound quality throughout the boat. Outside, a summer kitchen aft has a grill, a sink, a food preparation station and a storage room for outdoor dining.
The aft side of the hardtop on the deck also incorporates a 7′ electric awning system, able to completely cover the aft cockpit area. Both the forward and aft saloon, at the rear of the boat, combine electrically to form a large sundeck, ideal for relaxation. The tables at the front of the boat can be raised or lowered for dining.
The 59′ Cigarette Tirranna AMG Edition also features an advanced control interface design with a digital switching system that controls various systems from different locations throughout the boat and via iPad. The digital system can control everything from rudder lighting and cabin air conditioners to bilge pump monitoring.
There is also an RGB accent lighting system running along the boat tunnels that can be controlled by an application on the chart plotters. A variety of lighting scenes can be set at the touch of a button. The digital system also reduces the number of cables needed inside the boat, thus reducing the overall weight.
