The classic Italian motorboat is back in the spotlight with the new Colombo 33 Sogno. When one imagines a day at the lake or in the most beautiful bays of the Mediterranean, in the dreams of us boaters there is always one of these powerboats. This new vessel (9.99 meters overall) bets heavily on unmistakable charm, top quality, and a top speed of more than 40 knots. In short, ideal for experiencing the water. Let’s see what it looks like.

Created by the shipyard’s design studio, this motorboat has a classic line typical of the historic Colombo brand. We are talking about an absolute premium 9-meter, where the use of woods and steels are mixed with paint to make a high-end boat.

“An endeavor that brings back the charm of the past, ” say the site, “when time was not reckoned with to create a work of value.”

Starting from the stern, the Colombo 33 Sogno has a large platform for easy access to the water or as a pieds dans l’eau area. The cockpit allows all guests to be accommodated in this area. It then offers a full-beam sofa to which a cockpit table can also be added for convivial moments on board. The outdoor furniture is complemented by a bar cabinet with sink and bottle holder and a drawer refrigerator.

The aft sundeck is carefully crafted. It is no accidental detail that the cushions also enhance the livery of the motor boat. Under the foredeck is a shelter with a berth and a bathroom with a sink and toilet.

Teak and mahogany were used for the bridge and gunwales. Instead, a water-based enamel technology was used to paint the boat, which mainly benefits the health of the operators during application and allows a substantial reduction of up to 90 percent of solvent emissions into the atmosphere, compared to a traditional application.

The engines are available with four gasoline options of 250 to 350 horsepower each or diesel with 270 horsepower each, for a maximum speed of more than 40 knots. For this powerboat, the shipyard promises, in addition to the acceleration and speed typical of a Colombo-type powerboat great seaworthiness and smoothness on the wave.

The Colombo 33 Sogno is a fully customizable boat in both colors and fittings. On board are accessories made exclusively by the shipyard’s craftsmen, the added value of a motorboat “made in Italy.”
