The Genoa Boat Show, to the present day, it will be, in 2020, but from 1 to 6 October. The news comes from Confindustria Nautica and Saloni Nautici, the organizers, which have met regional authorities and the major of the city of Genoa.
The goal is to have a series of solutions that allow the event to take place. A flexible layout, as reported by Confindustria nautical industry, is adaptable to the different scenarios that will follow the lockdown. Every effort will be made to avoid the typical crowds of the Genoese event that attracts over 150,000 enthusiasts of boats every year.
Coronavirus: to date Genoa Boat Show confirmed in October 2020
The date of the 60th edition of the event moves from September to the following one (1-6 October). In addition, a series of strategies will be prepared to make the format of the Genoa Boat Show already compliant with what may be the Italian government’s provisions in October.
The possible solutions to date
- a possible extension of the event to nine days (from Saturday 3 to Sunday 11 October) in order not to have too many crowds
- design of large circulation spaces and the arrangement of multiple entrances.
