Coastal Yacht – CY39 underway

Costiera Yacht was born in Fano, Marche, in 2024, from the initiative of two young entrepreneurs: builder Luciano Savelli and designer Giorgio Santello. Both have solid experience in the nautical sector and share a vision: to combine traditional Italian craftsmanship with stylistic innovation to give life to boats that are authentic expressions of “Made in Italy.”

From its very first designed boat, the CY39, the shipyard shows a desire to distinguish itself by a philosophy that emphasizes quality, functionality and elegance of the spaces on board. Already the choice of the name“Costiera” reflects the desire to evoke a profoundly Italian and Mediterranean identity: those of Costiera Yacht are not fast boats designed to get from point A to point B first, but boats to be lived aboard, embracing a relaxed philosophy of“slow life.”

The technical characteristics of the CY39 from Costiera Yacht.

Coastal Yacht – CY39

The CY39 is a boat designed for those who love to experience the sea all year round, which can also be registered as a boat. Its lines are reminiscent of those of typical lobsters from the United States, but in a key that immediately reveals the Italianspirit andMediterranean soul, as much in the hull as in the interior.

The interior of CY39 by Costiera Yacht

We were revealed by the shipyard that the design of this boat was“from the inside out,” having as inspiration that of New York lofts, where they tried to create a very bright and airy environment. The stated desire is to think first of all about the well-being of those who want to spend a lot of time aboard the boat, in this sense the research shifted-once the inspiration for the interior was found-to a hull that would allow a boat to be as stable as possible. CY39 is a boat with few vibrations, which moves very little and is also very quiet: hence the choice to hide the engines, two inboard inline engines.

Eight to 10 people can board, both families with young children and couples who want a boat that can be used year-round, not just for day trips.

Outsiders

Coastal Yacht – CY39 – Cockpit

The open cockpit on the sea (also available in an enclosed version as an option) is definitely one of the hallmarks of this boat: an area of more than 4 meters where the 3-meter benches, placed one in front of the other, almost completely exploit the space around the retractable table that towers in the center. The aft platform creates a very sizable area for bathing and experiencing the outdoors without barriers, partly because there are no outboards to take up space.

With the pole structure and awning, it is possible to shade both the cockpit and the bow area

Staying on the exteriors, the two side walkways give access to thebow area where a large sunbathing area has been created on the deckhouse that can be covered if necessary thanks to a canopy (a structure with canvas and four poles), just like the aft cockpit area.

Interiors

CY39’s dinette offers a bright and airy area in which to relax

Passing through the large French window that opens onto the cockpit we enter the dinette of CY39. Here we find, leaning to the left, a comfortable sofa that looks to the TV cabinet positioned to starboard, where the command station with all the instrumentation is also located. The environment, in the single-cabin layout, is designed as a very airy“open space” – also thanks to the light points on the canopy, which can be opened to circulate air – that takes advantage of the large windows of the deckhouse to illuminate the interior with natural light; in fact, there are no doors to separate the living area from the sleeping area, which is accessed by descending three steps. The average height is 2 meters and 5 centimeters, and the lowered sleeping area contains the galley on the port side, with a stove, sink and refrigerator, while the large double bed is located at the far bow, surrounded by plenty of storage space.

In the single-cabin layout, CY39 has no doors. The interior environment is an open space combining the dinette and sleeping area.

In the two-cabin layout, on the other hand, the galley is smaller and positioned in place of the TV cabinet to make room for a second double bed; in this layout the rooms are separate, in fact each cabin has its own access door. For both layouts the (separate) bathroom is located to starboard, with the possibility of obtaining a dedicated (and separate from the bathroom) shower area.

Motorization

In the standard version, with a pair of engines for 300 Hp total, the CY39 has a claimed consumption of 45 liters/hour at cruising speed. Maximum speed is just over 20 knots, while 25 knots is easily exceeded with the most powerful motorization, the one that provides 530 Hp total. An intermediate motorization is also available, with a pair of engines providing 400 Hp total.

Customization

Costiera Yacht offers many customization and color options for interiors and exteriors, inspired by Italian art and vibrancy. Each owner can choose the combination that best reflects his or her style, making each CY39 truly unique. Among the colors proposed for the interiors, in addition to the standard version that keeps the contrast between light and dark as the protagonist, are Marine blue, Passione red, and Complesso green. Multiple options and combinations are also available for the color of the hull and hard-top, from blue to light blue through green and white.
