At Boot Düsseldorf the Coupe version of the De Antonio Yachts D50 also made its world premiere debut. We climbed aboard and scouted out what the innovative elements of this new model are. Here they are in the world premiere.

De Antonio Yachts D50

A boat that we tested in the D50 Open version and remains virtually unchanged even in this new layout, especially in what concerns the hull and interior. What does change is the deck plan, which now features a rather wraparound superstructure in the wheelhouse part. What does this mean? Moving from purely summer craft to a more enclosed craft that is more versatile in use. In addition to the practical solution, there are many who also appreciate this new version from a more aesthetic point of view. An enclosed boat, but one that maintains plenty of livable space on board is generally more popular. The D50 Coupe is no exception.

Compared to De Antonio Yachts’ D50 Open, what specifically changes is the area after the large wet bar/kitchen counter (with stove top, two refrigerators, and storage spaces) with only a central walkway space (quite large, actually) to access the dashboard and two side seats. The cockpit and dining area behind is still covered above on the top, but not enclosed on the sides.

We are not dealing with a pure cruiser, that is clear, but with this new De Antonio Yachts the Spanish shipyard wanted to offer its owners a solution capable of meeting multiple needs in a single hull. On the roof, then, just above the dashboard, a grid-like window has been designed to allow light to penetrate into the interior so as not to lose contact with the outside environment anyway.
