Designed by Vripack Yacht Design, the Delphia 10 is the latest model launched by Delphia Yachts, acquired by Beneteau since 2018. Measuring 9.78 meters in length overall, it is a full electric-powered vessel and fits into a segment of small ‘zero-emission’ explorers designed for small and medium cruising, primarily along canals and inland waters-but not exclusively.
Delphia 10
There are up to four berths on board, and with three different deck configurations available-Lounge, Sedan, and Lounge Top-exterior spaces and volumes are capable of adapting to different types of needs. The planned motorization covers, first and foremost, an electric-powered system between 40 and 110 horsepower, but, optionally, the possibility of installing an endothermic diesel engine is also indicated.
Project
Continuing on the path traced by its older sister, the Delphia 11, this new model also proves to be an intriguing project, standing out from the crowd in design and spirit, while also offering sustainable solutions that are well integrated into the design, contemporary and functional. Indeed, attention to materials also contributes to overall sustainability, and site choices thus fall on resources extracted, produced or recycled in an ethical manner consistent with the underlying principle: sustainable shipping. A series of initiatives that is also expressed in life on board, where contact with nature is privileged.
Delphia 10 – Exterior
First, while still maintaining a walkaround setting, the Delphia 10 is made available in three distinct versions. The first two, Lounge or Sedan, reflect the previous options provided in the range, distinguishing themselves as a fully open version of the exteriors, or a cabin, with the central deck spaces integrated a large pilot house. Integrated from this model, there is also a ‘hybrid’ version, the Lounge Top, which offers the best of the previous two, providing both protection toward the elements and large openings to make the most of open spaces.
Except for these distinctions, and the possibility of integrating solar panels on the top of the Sedan version, the overall deck configuration does not change. At the aft end of the cockpit, before the bridge, there is a C-shaped sofa and a center table. Appreciable here is the decision to provide the sofa with an alternate backrest, allowing the central portion of the sofa to face both the cockpit and the bridge.
Continuing, either outdoors or protected by the cabin structure, the cockpit continues with a second L-shaped sofa, dashboard and related seating, and a cabinet. In the bow, however, a sundeck finds its place.
Delphia 10 – Interior
As for interior spaces, two layouts are available. The former offers a double forward cabin, separate toilet and study, while, the latter, replaces the latter with a second cabin, bringing the total number of berths to 4. In both cases, the forward cabin is available with either twin or double beds.
