Inspired by the traditional hulls of Hawaii, Aquila Boats introduces its new Power Catamaran, theEagle 28 Molokai.Stability and plenty of outboard power are the highlights of this 9.38-meter catamaran . The Aquila 28 Molokai is thus proposed as an offshore fishing boat, but it is also valuable as a day-cruiser, whether with family or friends. Since July it has also been available in the Italian market through FC-Yacht.

Eagle 28 Molokai – Blanket

Characterized by thin, well-spaced hulls, the Molokai not only features good stability but also habitability on deck. In fact, thanks to this configuration, despite the 9-meter overall length, there is still ample room for movement. With a deck length of 2.96 meters, the Aquila 28 Molokai is both a good platform for fishing, thanks in part to set-up spaces and ample movement area.

Murate and T-Top provide space for numerous rod holders, while the cockpit features cutting boards, trays, and fish lockers. Up to two livewells can also be installed. Also available are specific compartments in which to store equipment, as well as retractable seating along the bulwarks, and a removable awning. On the bridge, under the T-Top, instrumentation and steering are grouped together, and two comfortable seats with armrests and backrests provide good support even in more complex weather-marine situations.

Eagle 28 Molokai – Motorization

In terms of performance and motorization, this catamaran first offers two options on the front end engines: a pair of outboards of 300 total horsepower, or a pair of outboards of instead 400 total horsepower. Engines that, installed on hulls with a really shallow draft (0.34 m), and low weight (2.7 t), hint at good performance. Overall, a revival of tradition that seems to offer good potential, especially for those looking for a versatile, multipurpose boat, thus being able to opt between the sport fishing option, and family relaxation.
