Initially the idea was to create a lobster. Then Vincenzo Pupillo and Carlo Galeazzi revolutionized the design and Eos 46 was born, a “rounded,” but very high-performance boat. This is a 12-meter all-around from EMG Marine, which launches its first unit with the Eos. This yacht has in its very rounded lines its real novelty and represents a breath of fresh air in the world of nautical design. Walking among the docks at the Genoa Boat Show, visitors referred to Eos in a variety of ways: the “boat with eyes” over all being the most successful. This nickname derives from the particular choice of inserting on the broadside at the bow one pane of glass on each side, which from the outside appear precisely as two eyes. Apart from this detail, Eos 46′ is undoubtedly a very special walkaround , focused on sailing comfort and safety, guaranteed by the unit’s stability and high broadside. In the edition presented at the show, Eos featured a special layout in terms of the below deck with three separate cabins: two for the owner and guests and one for the deckhand, with independent passageways. The wide livability of the spaces both on deck and in the interior settings makes this “debut” yacht a very interesting novelty in the European yachting scene.
In terms of motorization, the boat is equipped with two high-efficiency “Pod Drive Mercury Zeus” thrusters coupled with 550 hp Cummins engines that allow Eos to comfortably reach 28 knots cruising and 35 knots maximum .
