Evo R6 Open is the ultimate open boat for those looking for a spacious boat at the maximum on deck, with a modern line without giving up a bit of power. Certainly, its strong point is the beach lounge, but it’s not just that. Already in the “basic” version, it was a big surprise (CLICK HERE FOR OUR TEST). We now see one of the most popular boats of 2019 still changing shape and preparing to debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2020.
Evo Yachts, the brand owned by the shipyard Blu Emme Yachts, participates in the Cannes Yachting Festival 2020 with a world premiere: Evo R6 Open. The designer is Valerio Rivellini, who has transformed the flagship of the Evo R line into an 18-meter open.
Otherwise the classic version, the new open is distinguished by a steel Roll-Bar. This replaces the T-Top, giving the boat an even sportier and more streamlined look. Don’t worry though, the shadow is still there. In fact, with a retractable awning, all the necessary shelter is guaranteed both on the driving seat and in the front cockpit.
The Evo R6 Open is equipped with a large dining area. This section of the boat is illuminated by courtesy lights on the Roll-Bar. Three more are added to this outdoor area: from the large sunbathing area at the bow, with a sofa in front of the beach lounge island sunbathing area, to the small beach at the stern where the modular platform ensures a variety of uses.
Of course, the highlight is on the beach lounge, the aft cockpit area where this boat opens and changes shape. How does it do it? Thanks to the “XTension” side rails, the shipyard’s trademark, which opens folding walls in just a few seconds increasing the space available by 40%. The width of the central sundeck is such that a 2.85-meter tender can be accommodated underneath it.
It’s an open boat, but it also still long 18 meters. And so in addition to the dinette below deck, we find plenty of space for the owner’s cabin, two doubles for guests aft, and 2 bathrooms.
With double motorization options, 2 x Volvo Penta IPS 800 or 950, Evo R6 Open allows you to touch a top speed of 35 knots and 280 miles of range.
