“Welcome to the Best Stories 2026 Special. We’re sharing the stories of Italian and international companies that are global leaders in the boating industry. Today, we’re taking a closer look at Evo Yachts, a shipyard that builds highly customizable boats with sporty lines, minimalist design, and innovative technological solutions.”

Sporty and elegant: that’s the Evo R+, measuring nearly 18 meters long by 5.31 meters wide, with an enclosed deck and a black aluminum hardtop, designed for extended stays on board in all weather conditions.

We build the right boat for every owner

From precision machining to refitting, and on to the creation of a brand recognized for its design, versatility, and customization: Evo Yachts tells the story of an entrepreneurial journey that continues to evolve as it looks toward the future of the Italian yachting industry.

Behind every Evo Yachts vessel lies a story that began long before 2015. Before the brand was founded, the Mercuri brothers had already gained extensive experience in yacht building and refitting for leading shipyards, developing expertise in materials processing, precision mechanics, and the management of the entire production process. This technical and industrial heritage served as the foundation for creating a brand capable of combining Italian design, innovation, and a high level of customization.

High-quality, custom-made products for the shipowner

“Our goal has never been to build a lot of boats, but to build the right boat for each owner,” he says Rosario Mercuri, founder of Evo Yachts. A philosophy that continues to guide the shipyard to this day and explains the decision to pursue gradual growth, focusing more on quality than on production volume. Ever since its inception, Evo Yachts It has distinguished itself by introducing solutions that are destined to become a hallmark of the brand. Among these, the system stands out XTension, which, thanks to its fold-out side decks, significantly expands the living space on board, redefining the relationship between the yacht and the sea and enhancing the deck experience. This innovation has accompanied the evolution of the entire line and continues to this day to be one of its most recognizable features.

Stylistic consistency has been a hallmark of the brand for years

Over the years, the shipyard has developed a comprehensive product lineup, while consistently maintaining a strong design coherence. Among its most representative models today, the following stands out: Evo R4 Icons, the shipyard’s latest interpretation of the concept of exclusivity. Unveiled to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the first R4, This model was created to offer boat owners an advanced customization experience, with the ability to define spaces, materials, and configurations in harmony with their lifestyle and their way of experiencing the sea. A boat that, from the very first glance, embodies all the distinctive elements of the shipyard, combining design, innovation, and creative freedom. In-House Manufacturing

: The evolution of the product goes hand in hand with that of the company. The recent expansion of the production facility, which now covers approximately 6,000 square meters, will allow the company to progressively bring an increasing number of manufacturing processes in-house and directly oversee all major construction phases with comprehensive control over production. At the same time, the shipyard continues to invest in research into new materials, combining aluminum with composites and carbon fiber to improve build quality, performance, and design flexibility.

The interiors of the Evo R+ are characterized by high, bright spaces, designed by the shipyard in collaboration with Valerio Rivellini: materials, finishes, and layouts are determined in direct consultation with the owner.

Evo Yachts’ New Challenges: Moving Toward Increased Production

“The biggest challenge is to keep growing while preserving our identity,” he explains further Rosario Mercuri. “That’s why we want to increase our production capacity without compromising on quality, flexibility, and the level of customization that has always set us apart in the boating industry.” This approach is further underscored by the recent delivery of the 40th Evo, a R4 Walkaround developed to meet the owner’s specific requests. This milestone is not just a number, but the result of a journey built on a balance between manufacturing expertise, design research, and a direct relationship with the owners. Because, for Evo Yachts, every new boat is, above all, a new project to be built together with those who will live on it.
