Evoy Storm 300 hp

Among the most powerful in the world in the electric category. The Storm 300hp, inboard version, made its official debut at METS 2023 in Amsterdam, the world’s largest B2B marine accessories show.

Evoy Storm 300hp: the most powerful electric motors

This new inboard is the brother of the
Storm 300hp outboard
, produced by the Norwegian company Evoy and the smaller brother of the Hurricane 400, an inboard with, indeed, 400 horsepower.

An engine that arrives to meet the demand for high-performance units capable of adapting to different boat models, from the smallest planing hull boats to the largest displacement boats.

The Florø company’s range covers the high end of the market, where almost no other player reaches. The importance of this manufacturer, Evoy, is evidenced by the fact that, in the summer of 2023, the famous Finnish shipyard Axopar decided to invest directly in it by contributing substantial capital and a 10 percent stake in the company itself.

The Storm, as well as the 120hp Breeze are compatible with stern feet, water jets and shaftline applications. These are plug-and-play motors that require low maintenance, and are equipped with a control system that provides remote assistance.

The Storm charges with a 20 kW shore power cable and can be connected to a DC charger to achieve a 0 to 80% charge in just 45 minutes.

There are DNV-approved 56 kWh (available energy) Evoy batteries in the range, but the new CE-approved 69 kWh (available energy) Evoy batteries are also available.

What boats does the Evoy Storm 300 go on?

The Storm is designed for commercial and pleasure boats ranging in size from 25 to 35 feet (7 to 11 meters) with single installation and 30 to 45 feet (10 to 14 meters) with double installation.

How much does Evoy Storm 300 inboard cost

Prices are not yet on the side of these motors: the complete 126 kWh motor and battery package starts at 152,700 €, as a base. If we take the 378 kWh X-Long package, then the price rises significantly. Find the configurator with prices and options here.
