Boat or dinghy? both!
Halfway between an inflatable boat and a powerboat, Awave’s newest addition is a 15-meter walkaround (14.6 to be exact) built by Thy Shipyards. The desire of the architect who designed it, Lino Siclari, was to have a “party boat” with a large stern platform and plenty of deck space to experience the boat to the fullest. Aboard the Awave 48 (14.6 x 5 meters) we find a truly spacious cockpit, thanks in part to the folding bulwarks, which houses a triple center sundeck. Continuing to the center of the boat we find a full kitchenette, with induction hob, sink and refrigerator, and a dinette with a table that can be extended to 2.20 meters in length. Further ahead is the two-chair dashboard, covered by the T-Top. Below deck, where the height is more than two meters, we find a double cabin with a full beam bed in the bow and a cabin with twin beds amidships. There is a small sofa and a second kitchen in the convivial area, while the bathroom is in a separate room. The inboard engine proposed is with two 370-hp Yanmar diesels, or two Volvo Penta 430 (gasoline) or 440 (diesel) hp.
More surface area on board!
