Seakeeper Ride

Complete control in navigation thanks to aerospace technology

Seakeeper Ride is the first and only all-automatic boat trim control system

When Seakeeper Ride was launched, many wondered how it differed from the already well-known gyroscopic stabilization systems of Seakeeper, a company known worldwide for eliminating on-board roll. So what is Seakeeper Ride and how does it work? Inspired by aerospace technology, it is the first and only fully automatic Vessel Attitude Control System (VACS) designed to eliminate up to 70 percent pitch, roll and yaw while sailing. Seakeeper Ride controllers are mounted on the transom of the hull, below the waterline. Unlike systems equipped with pistons with linear motion, Seakeeper Ride uses rotary actuators, which move at a speed of 300 mm per second. Thus, thanks to patented inertial sensing hardware and software, and specially developed sensors capable of recording 1,000 different parameters, the system senses the behavior of the hull on all three axes and controls the actuator, which counteracts wave movements with 100 adjustments per second. Once activated, the controllers raise the transom, instantly adjusting the boat’s trim. The benefits of Seakeeper Ride are many and unparalleled:
1. Pitch and roll elimination: Seakeeper Ride eliminates up to 70 percent of pitching and rolling motions (often the cause of heavy impacts on the hull) while underway, providing an unprecedented feeling of comfort, control, and safety.
2. Tilt control: Seakeeper Ride prevents boat tilting due to shipboard displacement, wind, uneven loading, and/or propeller twisting.
3. Auto trim: Seakeeper Ride uses a patented control to automatically align the boat to the optimum forward angle at any speed.
4. Hole Shot Control: Seakeeper Ride is optimized to enable faster acceleration and faster glide, allowing fuel economy during the transition to glide. The operator never loses sight of the horizon, ensuring greater safety for everyone on board.
5. Coordinated Turning: Seakeeper Ride automatically adjusts your boat’s heeling angle during turns for greater comfort, safety, and optimal performance at any speed.

A PATENTED SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES STABILITY

Initially installed as a standard device on several selected new-build models, Seakeeper Ride is now also available for aftermarket installation, through a network of dealers and distributors, for boats from 19 to 35 feet. But that’s not all: Seakeeper Ride’s goal is to implement the system for larger vessels as well.

SEAKEEPER RIDE 450 – For boats up to 26 feet

SEAKEEPER RIDE 525 – For boats from 27 – 30 feet

SEAKEEPER RIDE 600 – For boats from 31 – 35 feet

Forget everything you know about aft-mounted systems. Seakeeper drastically changed the boating industry once and is doing it again. Seakeeper Ride eliminates up to 70 percent of pitching and rolling in navigation ensuring comfort, control and safety. It is intuitive. It is automatic. It is revolutionary.
